Wed 15th Feb: Big Lake Skies
Cato:
Hello Aunties! We had a great walk today. All green and sniffy and muddy. Much better than boring street walks and after dark walks.
This is Tara going Hunting. She messed it up. It was all wet and soggy, and she wasn't expecting it. Also, she thought I was right behind her, and I wasn't. I was sniffing the ditch wall, back near the carpark, and she got a bit scared cos she doesn't like solo Hunting. I prefer it, cos then no one else mucks it up. Anyway, she didn't get her prey.
Prey is a technical term, you know. Us hunters say Prey when we mean pigeons. I thought I had better explain that, in case you didn't know, since human aunties are pretty poo at Hunting and you may not understand the techy termiteology.
I didn't really feel like going Hunting today. Even Great Zhu Hunters need a day off, every now and then.
It was a very grey day. And quite windy. Luckily Tara and I have been growing our winter coats, so we were OK, but Mum kept muttering about her hat and gloves. We don't like her gloves very much. They sniff funny when she picks us up, and she fumbles the treats a lot.
Good job I wasn't in a Hunting mood, eh? They were all hiding. I bet they had cold knickers!
I did bounce on Tara a bit though.
We like this Dad and his friendly paw. Mum and this Dad had a chat. He was going to go shopping in the supermarket this morning, but when he got there, the tills were all broken and dead, and the lights were off. Everyone had been told to go home, cos they couldn't buy anything! So the Dad brought his paw out for a walk instead.
That is good isn't it? The Dad said they were lucky. He can only walk so far in a day, and today it was either the supermarket or the lake. So today they don't eat, but they do exercise! Haha! I think he was joking. I hope he was joking. They were nice.
Mum says this is an arty shot, but I can show it to you on account of me and Tara being in it, and looking arty farty. Tara always looks farty. Haha!
We have had a lot of wind lately, haven't we? All these plant things used to stand up.
I like this bridge. Sometimes I Hunt on it. Today I was just looking and sniffing.
I was looking at these ducks. The water looks weird cos of all the wind whipping stuff around.
Remember the swimming area? The gates are always shut. And Tara always wants to get in. This post is very sniffy.
And then she saw another gate. Open!!!!
So of course... and look at all that Mud!
But I found something even more interesting! It was a human shoe.
Someone took it off their foot and hung it up there. I wonder why?
Humans have two foots, don't they? So what happened to the other one...
Mum's sky pics.
