debo 1
Another question!! I've been working on sit, stay, and here with Oliver. He's doing great and I've been rewarding him every time since we started last Wed. when he came home to me. Should I go ahead and begin rewarding intermittently? I keep remembering what I've read about being a slot machine rather than a vending machine to keep interest high. Is there a rule of thumb for when to stop rewarding every time? Happy, happy day: Oliver slept all night!!! :chickendance:

I treat and praise. until they get it down pat.. then I praise, praise praise.. and treat sporatically... if they seem to forget,, back to treat treat treat.. waiting to see what others say on this one tho.. Stacey 7
What I do is Treat treat treat until they have it down, then i do treat praise treat praise, and do it every other one. then next phase is treat praise praise treat praise praise treat so on and so forth, that way they work harder for it in baby steps then eventually you can just sporadically give treats as you desire
