It's winter again.
Yesterday it was 70 degrees outside and all the dogs enjoyed going out on the deck to enjoy the weather. Today it's 30...for a high. The fun never ends.
Jack: Mom and Dad let all us big dogs stay out in the kitchen all night. With teamwork, we managed to make a break for it around 8:30 a.m. I am now snoozing on the bed with Dad, so leave me alone.
Gus: Yep, we got to stay out all night! Mom herded us back to the kitchen with promises of cookies, but I don't see Jack, Drake and Katy so they must have made it to the bed and stayed there. I am displeased.
Katy: I'm in bed with Dad. If Mom tries to get me, I'll just jump down and run UNDER the bed where she can't see me. While I'm there, I'll see if I can make it to China, as I'm quite sure it's directly under the bed. However, night time when the humans are asleep is prime digging time.
Drake: I'm sleeping on top of Daddy's head. He needs me there to keep him warm 'cuz he's loosing his hair.
Corbin: I fell for the cookie lure, but at least I got the snuggly blanket and don't have to argue with Drake about it. I have to remember to pound him when he gets back out here.
Mona: Well, the kids and I have had breakfast, so it's nap time. Later, y'all.
NaNa: Ditto what Mona said.
Eve: Since three of our pack got to stay on the bed, we have extra snuggle-spots in the kitchen. I picked the bed right across from the furnace vent where it's nice and cozy. When Katy comes back out, I have to remember to pound her.
Dot: Still stuck in the pen, and today's bath day. Then, I have to have another bath on Friday because - you guessed it - more dog shows this weekend! Ugh.
Elle: Dot and I are going to protest this isolation thing going on here. She just told me we have to have baths today and AGAIN on Friday. I hate baths, and Mom has the scars to prove it!
Stephan: I have a new bed for my pen AND my very own knucklebone! Life is good.
Tai: Mom told me I was impossible and put me on the long-line out back. I've almost caught two rabbits so far. Wait! There's a SQUIRREL!!!
The Three Musketeers: Right now is nap time, but when we wake-up we get to come out and play again. We're still tying to go up the slide part of our slide, but yesterday Aramis got on the first step so Mom thinks there is hope. We haven't quite figured-out the ball pit yet, but Athos jumped in yesterday and a ball hopped out at us! We chased it around the kitchen for 20 minutes. Then we all fell asleep.
Holli and Loren: We get to play with Athos, Porthos and Aramis every day now. Sometimes Athos tries to beat-up on Loren, but our mommy Mona gives him a good wack and a growl and he scampers away. Loren is the littlest one of us and that's why Athos picks on him.
Mom: Never a dull moment!
