MONDAY 11th Apr: Trekking with Dad

Crinkly

Mum:   Dear, dear, Dad has filled in again today, so that I could stay home and work.  So I missed all the fun.

However, he took the camera, and with a small amount of muttering has provided us all with this fantastic record of the adventure.  As you look at them, please bear in mind that this is exactly the same park and walking route that we go on when I take the pics of weeping willow, ducks, bullrushes, swans, etc. :roflmao:  It is SO TRUE that beauty is in the eye of the beholder!!! :roflmao::roflmao::roflmao:

They had a great walk, and are now sleeping it off, so I will have to give you a kind of 'interpretative guide' as we go through.

This shot is less than 100 yards from the car park, and they are already muddy, and already wanting Dad to HURRY UP!

Apparently there was a monster black bin bag in the bushes, so Cato was understandibly wary.  Tara didn't notice it.

Cato knew he wasn't allowed to eat/lick/sniff the red thing.  But he soooooo wanted to.

Cato falling behind because every time he tries to catch up, Tara bounces on him

And now, A Brief Tour Of NE Lincolnshire Benches:

(or should I say Climbing Frames?)

Also, pleased to announce that Cato seems to have recovered from yesterday's ordeal, slept like a baby, and didn't howl in the night.

:)

What an adventure again today........now the décor of the benches I prefer the black one......are the benches donated? I really like the pathway to walk on even though our Cato and Tara always manage to find the mud.:judy:

Love the pics and sooo interesting to see the difference in what dad takes pics of!! :hysterical:

Tara is Great with her benches Love that she seems to hit them all!! And poor Cato bet he can't wait till Tara gets older and hopefully won't always be in play mode!! So glad that Cato slept well last night and is over his ordeal. :)

i can't wait for pup no.3 to arrive (in 3-4 years or so), she will get a taste of her own bouncing medicine and i am going to remind her of how mean she was to C every day!

:roflmao:

the cheap tatty benches are usually council owned (like the waste bins), but the nice ones, with plaques on them, are usually donated in memory of a loved one who liked the park, or liked the spot, or had a favourite seat.

i really like the idea and wouldn't mind having my own bench somewhere to haunt on sunny afternoons, in perpetuity...

:clap:Love this one...........In Memory of Roger Bucklesby....Who hated this park.......and everyone in it.  Some how I could see that quote on a park bench as the older I get the more l find myself liking the company of my paws versus the company of people.......I will add this quote to my archives for future use.............
