WEDNESDAY 13th Apr: Pigeon Hunt!!!

Crinkly

Tara:

Foxy Park!  Yay!  With MUM AND Dad! Yay!  And sun!  And pigeons!  And fights!!!

Lots of adventures today!

This is the park when we arrived.  All huge and sniffy and sunny and gorgeous!  With no other dogs around wanting to sniff my bottom bits.

And this is My Bench, only Dad just walked past!  No drink or treats!

This is me bouncing on Cato:

And this is Cato wimping out after.

He was all hot and bothered and panty.  And Mum told us both that we are going to get cooler on Friday, cos we are going to AuntyGroomerLesley, for a B*** and a clip.  It will be nice not to be so hot, but I am going to ask her not to bath me.  Mum need never know.

This was our Pigeon Hunt!  It was awesome!  I didn't actually see the pigeon, but Cato did, and he set off and cos I am faster I nearly overtook him, but the pigeon disappeared, cos Cato lost it.  We will get it next time. :)

(note from Mum: please carefully observe the photo above.  See two highly excited Hunters, dashing to trounce their prey.  Yes?  Both heading towards the right of the pic.  Now search for the pigeon.  Found it?  It has just taken off from its perch on the fence - the tiny flash of grey/white directly in line with Cato's tail - and is leisurely flapping its way up and off to the left.  Cato, the Great Tzu Hunter is leading his Pack in completely the wrong direction :roflmao:  )

Tara again:    We also met Jack.  I didn't used to like Jack.  He is part Lhasa, part something, and he is bigger and bossier.  And he runs with a rocking motion.  Once he cocked his leg on Mum's foot!!!!  And he has been too bouncy rough with me when I woz little.  But today he was nice.  Gentle and sniffy and he came over to see us in a nice approach curve wot didn't make me scared.  Maybe I like Jack more now.

Cato:  So the pigeon was amamazing, wasn't it?  Hope we can get it next time!  The rest of the walk was OK.  Tara was too bouncy, as usual, and we got a bit hot.

This is me sitting in the shade, asking Mum if she could not walk off please, cos as soon as I try to catch up, Tara attacks.

She has seen me:

Here she comes:

And this is when I was squealing in pain when she bit my ear!

The rest of it is Mum's flower stuff.

White things

red things

Bailey in the mud-puddle with yellow things  (I went over to investigate, but Dad had to choose that precise moment to get a treat out, so I didn't get to see it properly. :( not fair!)

Mum:

So I have to step in at this point.  Remember I have been banging on about cherry blossom for what seems like months?  And how the display in the park has been the worst I have seen in 3 years of dog walking?  Well, turns out I was peaking too early!  :roflmao: Look at this.  The first blossom of a different variety of cherry:

and now look...  This entire avenue is this kind of cherry.  Hoping it all blooms together, eh?  It is STUNNING when (if) it does...

:hysterical:  In the 3rd pic, the look on Cato's face is hysterical! :judy:  :hysterical:  I was falling out of my chair laughing!  So funny!  Looks like an amazing walk on a gorgeous day!  The flowers are so pretty and colorful!

Love Cato's face on the fourth photo with his little pink tongue sticking out...:dede: So sweet.....Feel so sorry for you Cato...sister always pouncing in you. Tara and Abby need to get together...she's a lot like Tara always wanting to beat someone's butt..and that means Brother. What if two of them got together and beat each other up so they'd know how it felt?.....Frightening ....cause I know Abby's a back street gangster and plays dirty biting  :roflmao:

Love all the spring flowers...and Oh that huge mud puddle with algae.....muddy photo opportunity missed? Or saved from a instant bath ?

:roflmao:

Hope you get your hair cut next week and cool off a bit Cato....baths are still that bad are they?

You know, i bet if Tara and Abby got together, Tara would be the wimpiest bundle of pathetic wimpishness you could imagine. Lol.  Abby would trounce her!

I would LOVE to see it.

Mind you, i think Tara's confidence is growing.  Slowly.  They have been on the dogsitter's pack walks 4 x now, and although she still submits to everything, i don't think she is as scared.  And her tail goes back up quicker, after.

how does Pip cope with Abby's attacks?  Cato seems to enjoy 60%, endure 30% and get cross 10%, but he will tell anyone off, if necessary.  He pretend-snapped at a big clumsy Weimaraner (sp?) today, when it got too intrusive, and it backed off immediately. He is a Hero in a small furry superhero outfit. :roflmao:

Usually he tries to run away from her teeth which go right for the spine...He's the peace lover........she's a nasty piece of work when she's in the mood which usually is over stimulation from Pip barking at someone walks past the house...If she hurts him he yelps when she's broken skin he'll turn on her and beat her up with a vengeance.....which I have to break up because I don't want blood drawn lol

I want to cut Pip and Abby down this summer and let them grow again...simply because Abby pulling his hair has broken it off or damaged it midway back to the hip...and no I can't save it...so thinking about a longish cut. But with less hair it exposes more for her to bite the skin....She's a little tornado and flustrates me so. She knows when I'm mad about her pulling out mouthfuls of hair because she immediate stops when told. No wonder they call female paws bitches :roflmao:

Tara is genuinely sweet natured.  There is NEVER any malice in it, and if she gets ticked off, either by Cato or me, she backs off immediately, and often apologises (sniffing the ground, re-approaching with a shoulder roll so her head comes in lower than Cato, or licking).  But she is so enthusiastic about everything, she never learns not to do it again - because she forgets everything as soon as she gets excited next time.

She is just too fit, too well nourished, and has too much buoyancy! Lol.

We are all looking forward to (her) middle age!

Me too!

Ya know, the more I look at that Pigeon Hunt pic, the more I think I have worked out what Cato was doing.

I think he was heading for the gate - cos we always go through the gate -  and he must have thought that the pigeon was 'over there'

Bless him.  He is such a Law Abiding Wee Citizen, isn't he?

(never occurred to him that he could jump through the fence :roflmao: Or that the pigeon was out of reach before the Hunt even started :roflmao:)

You mention Middle Age with my guys ranging in age from 5 to 13 I have yet to experience Middle Age........they may have days where they sleep a lot but I think it is a means of building up energy for the next go around. I think Middle Age is when it is just to much effort to get up and go anymore.
