MONDAY 23rd May: Another birthday walk!
Cato: I got my birthday beach walk! But so did Dad! His birthday is today. We didn't know til we woke up this morning and got to watch him open his presents on the Big Bed, but we gave him a lovely walk, and then we went out and had STEAK!!! so it was an ACE birthday. We signed his card too.
Of course we had to wait while Mum worked all morning, but she took the afternoon off, and this is where we went.
We haven't been here for AGES, so it was extra specially windy and sniffy and lovely.
When we got down onto the beach, look wot I found.
Mum says this is one of those lugwormy things you were talking about Auntie Angel. The pile is his poo. And the hole is his mouth.
And Mum says these are little water springs flowing under the sand. I don't believe her. Water goes on top of the sand, doesn't it?
Tara says she wasn't really drinking, but I think she was. She should know better!
Even Dad knew the way back to the car!
But he needed help getting the sand out of his trainers, before we drove off to have our STEAK.
We sat outside the STEAK place, in the sun, and Dad drank beer, and Mum drank some water, like us, and Dad had a huge steak and shared it with us, and Mum didn't, cos she had weird hot stinky stuff (Mum: curry), but we had to save our STEAK til we got back to the car, cos we aren't allowed to eat under tables.
So I shared my birthday walk with Dad, which made it even better!
Tara:
This is me on a memory bench. With flowers. The wind made my hair a mess.
We all sat on the bench (except Cato cos he is a short arse) and Mum told Dad about Minnie being ill, and we were sad for her.
This is dried up mud. It must have been a wonderful mud puddle, before it got old and crusty.
This is Dad trying to go the wrong way, but we went and stopped him.
This is Percy. He was extra specially interested in sniffing my knickers. I didn't mind, cos he was quite nice.
Mum:
Beautiful sand ripples. The light was just at a perfect angle today.
