Cato:

Mum said you woz worried about us, when we went quiet.  That is very, very nice of you.  So I asked Mum to write this so you didn't worry.

We are still sleepy after yesterday's trek with AuntieKim, so we are sleeping all this morning, and not walking at lunchtime.  But this evening will be very exciting, cos AuntieJane is coming over to see the splashy pool, and we LOVE AuntieJane, so there will be lotsandlotsandlots of bouncing.  I am going to show her every toy, especially the new ones, and I want to sit on her lap and kiss her.  Tara wants that too, but Tara runs round and round when she is excited, which means that I can climb up and get the good seat on the lap first.  Hahaha!

Tara is asleep at the moment, so she won't know I have told you this.

Oh, and I need to increase my garden patrols.  We have spotted a greyandwhite cat (from 2 doors over) chewing Sidney's catmint.

Mum says we will get a big walk tomorrow.

It's sounds like you need your rest after your lovely walk yesterday ?

You had better sort that cat, he can't have Sidney's catmint.

Hope you have lots of fun with Auntie Jane and you both get to have a cuddle on her lap. ?

Cato,

Thank you for the warning of down time......I would worry.......it is what I do..........I can understand how tired you both must be after your doggie day care outing........I would have to rest too.  Your going to have to put an alarm around Sidney's catnip.....the word will get out and you will have every cat in the neighborhood in your garden.  Have a good visit with Auntie Jane.......is she going to give the hot tub a try cause if she is you better get all the attention up front cause once she gets in for a dip that will be the end of Auntie Jane........Have a good time........

Hugs from Auntie J

Tell Tara we missed her chatter this morning but hope she enjoyed her nap.

I'm here!  I like that you missed me.

(says Tara)

We hunted a CAT today, and now I am bored.

Cato is sleeping ALL THE TIME, and I am pestering Mum cos I want my pink sprout in for when AuntieJane comes to see me!!!  I can show her the garden, and where the cat woz, and sit on her and love her.  Can't wait!!!

And tomorrow, Mum says we may be able to have a little bit of sausage if we are very very very good.  For breakfast.  It will be for breakfast, won't it?

Mum spent her lunchtime cleaning cos she says all our toys have to go away and the floor get cleaned before we have visitors.  That is weird, isn't it?  You need to show visitors your toys, and you can't do that if they are all put away and boring.  I am going to go and fetch my favourite BuzzyBee and hide it under a green place in the garden, then I can find it later.  Maybe I should get the OrangeSquishyBall too.  Wot do you think?

Tara, I think you should take both outside and hide them. I like to take my toys out to play with them.

One day I took most of my toys outside to play with them.. Then I noticed that mum was walking around with one slipper on her foot, she was looking for the other one.. Ummmmm I was playing with it outside, I killed it and everything... Lol.

I think your Auntie Jane will be so impressed with your hiding skills.

Donte ?

AuntieJane was VERY impressed with the toy hiding skills.  And the toy Shakey Shake killing skills, and the Attention Seeking Barking while we were in the hot tub, and the wet leg licking when we climbed out... AuntieJane is an absolute saint, and loves them very very much.

The whole lap competition went exactly as predicted too!  :roflmao:

But she wasn't too impressed with the Double Palmsprout hairdo.  I have suggested to Tara that we use the DoubleSprout for lounging at home, and keep the SingleTuft for public consumption.

I was very UNimpressed to see Tara's barking behaviour when we were talking and tubbing.  She went outside through the catflap, and stood sideways to the window.

Then she barked, loudly, 2-3 times, and turned her head listening for my voice.

Repeat.

Repeat.

As soon as I called her, she rushed inside for the attention she had been trying to provoke.

Little Madam!  And my poor neighbours!

Any suggestions on how to break this unpleasant behaviour pattern?  Anything I do to stop her, gives her the attention she is wanting.  So it effectively encourages her to go out and bark to get the attention...

Am beginning to think I may have to block the catflap so she can only go outside when I supervise, but that will wreck Cato's regular cat and monster patrols, which are part of his raison d'etre.

:(
