SATURDAY 4th June: Hot sun, green shade
Cato:
Hello Aunties. We had a lovely special sunny hot green walk today. We are feeling All Better after AuntieKim's Trek, and Tara was bouncing well, but I found it a bit hot. Mum thought I was panting A LOT, so we stopped to drink three times, and Mum Calming Signaled Tara so she didn't bounce on me too much. Dad is home a lot for a bit (annual leave, says Mum) so we have him in the pack walks too, which we like.
Sorry to warn you, but there is flower stuff at the end. Mum insists. Very stinky. Looks like it will be stinky for weeks, cos roses last for AGES, don't they?
Come on! This is the way:
Ooh look! A REALLY sniffy branch!
We walked all the way around the outside of the Town Park, cos that was cooler than if we stuck to the paths. Mum says the park is a horseshoe shape, and that you will understand that. I don't.
We also went to look at the rabbits again! They sniff VERY interesting.
and this was a nice Yorkie Lady we met. Tara kept her tail down, but she liked the sparkly collar.
Tara:
We went Duck Hunting, but they were all sneakily hiding on the water.
This is Me and Dad on the bench, with Cato being thirsty. Mum had taken my sprouts out by this time, cos I made one look a bit weird when I scratched it.
Me and Dad in the cool trees
This is me asking for a rest and a drink.
Mum:
And now for the roses. I LOVE roses.
The park has a rose garden of massed beds, which is only just coming into flower, and a few rose obelisks scattered around...
the scent in the rose garden is just starting.
Exquisite.
