TUESDAY 7th June: Donkeys and buttercups
Tara:
So we had to wait for ages and ages cos it was hot again. Mum wouldn't take us out all day, until it was cooler. But that woz OK cos it meant I could bounce on Cato more!
And he was quite bouncy too. I think he got bored with sleeping all day as well.
This is me after bouncing. Mum says I look like a Hooligan.
But it was FUN. Even more fun than helping Dad with the shed, and helping with the grocery delivery. And it was MUCH more fun that sleeping all day!
Cato:
It woz a bit hot.
And the grass woz so long we didn't see the donkeys over the buttercups.
We showed Dad the way along the ditch. Remember how steep it is? Well Tara was bouncing VERY close to the edge. You can't see it cos all the green stuff is huge now, but the ditch is very deep. Remember?
Tara was bouncing a lot, and we kept having to run to catch up. I think she was a bit surprised at how much I bounced back. Haha!
See?
We walked a looooong way, and then we had a rest at a bench. Mum and dad looked at Geese
and lots of hot sweaty joggers all running around in the heat. They are MAD!
And we had a big drink.
I was getting hot and tired by then, cos of all the bouncing, earlier. And I really wanted a lift, but I knew that Mum doesn't like me going on strike. So I tried to keep up. But I was panting hard.
And even though I was trying, Dad decided to help me, and after we had a second bench drink, he carried me the rest of the way. I love Dad. Of course Tara was jealous, cos she wanted Dad to carry her too. But she wasn't as Bounced On and Panty as me. And she has longer legs.
Mum says that we are going to have a fur trim on Friday, and will be lovely and coooolllll after that. And if it is this hot again tomorrow, we may have to wait till it is nearly dark and then walk on the pavements.
Mum:
Isn't this beautiful? The pink and the white are growing on the same tree. Stunning
And this was today's memorial bench plaque
There are 8 signets!! 8!!! I hope they manage to raise them all...
Beautiful irises (I think) just growing wild at the water's edge - right next to thistles
We are so unbelievably lucky to get to walk the dogs in these beautiful places. And having The Mutts write this blog really makes me see and appreciate it all with new eyes.
I get back here and upload the photos and see the intense greens and blues and colours, and I sometimes can't believe it was really that brilliantly colourful - but it was. only a full 360 of beauty, not just a square photo.
