THURSDAY 9th June: Foxy with Dad

Cato:

After a lot of discussion, we decided to walk Dad at Foxy today.  He knows the way around, so can't get lost, and it means we don't have to manage him on the pavement at all.  Hot in the car though!

Mum says you won't recognise the park - not a flower in sight.  Says that Dad doesn't see flowers.  And has had to be trained to give them too. :roflmao:

It was lovely and sniffy today.  These are something called Tennis Courts.  Something to do with Wimbledon.  People only use them for dog training and for the bit around Wimbledon each year, Mum says.  the rest of the time they just fill up with dead leaves.

Great sniff.  Tara missed this one.

We shared this one.

Dad likes distance shots. with no people in them.  It was a lovely peaceful walk.

Did I tell you the sniffs were amazing?

Tara:

We had 2 pigeon hunts!  But Dad didn't pic my near Victory!  Cos it all happened so VERY FAST, and my Ninja moves were such a blurr.

This gate bit is good.  There is a sniffy bin.  and two ways through.  Big Fat humans can only get through next to the hedge now.  Later it will grow bigger and they have to go through the gate.  Sometimes there is mud too!  And humans tiptoe through holding onto the fence so they don't slip over.  It is very funny to watch.

This is me on Pigeon Watch

I am looking forward to my haircut, cos you can't see my Special Pink Collar, can you?  I look un-pink at the moment.  And Mum hasn't put my sprouts in for days. :(  I am going to ask her to do them again for when I go to the salon.

and beating Cato in a race.

It was a good walk, but it would have been better if Mum had been with us.

Looks like a nice walk even though the tennis courts are deserted.  Looks like the two of you quite enjoyed some great sniffs!  Hope your Mum is back on your walks soon! :)

Haha!  Sorry to disappoint.  Going to be away from Fri to Sun, leaving the paws in Dads capable hands.

I think they are all planning pizza deliveries and widescreen sports fests.  And maybe the dogs will sleep on the bed.

But I expect, when I get back, that the oriental poppy will be in FULL bloom. :cheezy:

Well, I have left the camera in the Dog Bag, with the treats and the water bottle, so maybe, just maybe, there will be a record of their adventures.  But not today.  We have just got back from the groomers, with their natty summer cuts and they are very sleepy, so don't need a walk today.  Think the whole B*** Thing stresses them out!

She is lovely, and tried desperately to get me to agree to trim off the topknot, because it is now out of proportion to the rest of Tara's short-cut legs and body.  But when I stood firm (Dad wants me to cut it off too, so they had a pincer movement going), she said she would layer the back of her head in, so that looked less silly. :roflmao:

And when we picked them up, Tara had a sprout in too.  Bless.

Cato looks sooooo much happier with his buzz cut.  Maybe he should wear camo and sign up for a couple of tours since he seems to like the military cut. :)

Sorry, no pics.  They got home, ran around for 10 over-excited minutes, like they were High, then collapsed in their beds and are now snoring.

Looks like they had a great walk with Mr. C........pictures were good but did miss the flowers. Some great places to sniff and no one to bother you what more could two paws want......I know I sure would have loved having the park to myself. Nice and quiet......

Jo you have  a safe and fun trip.......hope your paw is doing better.....nothing worse than a blister.

Cato and Tara can't wait to see your summer cuts........you will be so cool and in case of the likelihood of meeting up with any mud it will come off much easier.........Have fun with Dad......hmm pizza, couch snoozing and the Big Bed sounds to me your both on HOLIDAY.........have fun!!
