SUNDAY 31st July: Seafront promenade florals
Cato: Sausage breakfast, then a really boring walk along the seafront. We have to wait til the end of September before we get the beach back so we walked by the stinky flowers, wot Mum had to photo for you. Yawn, and then back along the path bit.
It woz a bit hot, and I got thirsty. Sausage makes you thirsty anyway, doesn't it? And Tara climbed on everything, of course.
Mum: Today was a completely different routine. There was a charity fun run (10k) so lots of roads were closed, and the forecast was for hot sun later, so we nipped out early, Dad and me and the Hounds, for breakfast on the seafront, and then trundled along the floral displays. Remember how I said they had made a special effort with the seafront flowers this year, for the Armed Forces Day a few weeks ago? and how the parks got the left overs this year? Well I am sure you will see what I mean...
This is an anchor, in case you were wondering (had to do a weird side on angle for all of these, because the sun was kind of behind the flowerbeds)
Dahlias
Nearly every lamp post in the resort has one of these:
This was the return, on the beachfront promenade. MUCH more fun for the Hounds (Cato wanted that blue plastic crisp packet SO MUCH)
Tara was most put out to see NO ONE on the beach AT ALL, but not to be allowed down there herself. Not Fair! (she said)
These are petunias planted at the foot of one of the sea front palms
And this is the wee Tourist Train that runs along the front, £1 a ride.
And did you notice there weren't any orange geraniums? Didn't see ANY. Not sure why...
