Cato:

Hot hot hot.  But the sausage breakfast woz nice.  And seeing Auntie Jane woz nice too.

Foxy park woz very still and hot and sunny, and even Tara didn't bounce ALL that much.

Tara:

This is me squishing Cato.  He was a bit floppy by this time.  He wimped out of the 3rd time round the park, and sat down.  Mum made him catch up, but then he woz panting so hard that she carried him for a bit.  If he didn't sit down and fall behind, and then have to run to catch up, he wouldn't pant so hard, and need a lift, would he?

I think he does it all on purpose!

There were LOTS of little humans all over the place.  Mum wanted photos of the little boys playing with balls on the grass, and all the others trapped in their huge play cage.  But she doesnt' like taking photos of kids from close enough to actually SEE them, in case someone thinks she is a weirdo pervert kidnapper.  Hahaha!  As if Mum would want to nap a kid!   Hahaha!  She says she sometimes wants to nap some dogs though!  Hahahaha!

Mum:

Pretty sparse on the florals today.  Basically only geraniums and buddleia - but the buddleia is worth it alone. :)

Oh boy, it does look hot. But it is lovely when the sun comes out to play, isn't it! And with all those big trees you had some shade to play under.

I know exactly what you mean about the 'knickerprickle grass' it's a right pain in the bottom!

I see there's chickweed growing in between the geraniums.

Who else loves the smell of buddleia?

Learnt what Buddleia looked like...That's a pretty plant to use in bedding...will have to keep that one in mind.

Glad the park was nice and shadey for you both...love how mom captures that coolness through pictures...ever so lovely.

That is a white buddliea.  They come in purple, puce, lavender blue, pink and white.  I love them too.  Known as butterfly bushes.  And yes, the scent is delightful.  Each colour flowers on a slightly different schedule.

My only issue with them is that they drop leaves every winter, leaving a great gnarly sprawling bare branched thing, and need serious pruning every April, or they take over.  They can grow to 2x2 meters, in a single year.  And they are prolific and durable.  They grow on railway tracks all up and down the country. :ohyeah:

You should take one in your garden..absolutely gorgeous smell..and the amount of butterflies in summer is such a pretty sight..(my cat thinks so too) just keep them short in April..
