This is a question I seem to be asking alot lately. My firstborn just had his first Daddy's Day. I'm still trying to wrap my brain around the fact the he has had his first son and I'm now a Grandma. I'm in awe everytime I look at this precious baby.

I'm soo sad today. Daryl turns 20 and I just can't believe it. Seriously I just think, "where did the time go"? It feels like only yesterday that I was cradeling him in my arms. You think that you have all the time in the world and then you blink and he's a man. I've been having a difficult time for a couple of yrs. facing the fact that he's "grown up" and he's not going to be here w/me when he wakes every morning but 20! It's just soo hard to accept and even harder to let go.

Well, I had a nice quiet evening planned tonight! Ray&I were going to sit out back w/Mark and the babies and grill some steaks and baked pot. My sister,(whose been going through some personal issues), just called me twice and is trying to talk me into going w/her and her kids to a nearby fireworks display, it's a town about 45min. away. Can I just say that it's getting harder and harder to find a HUMAN to talk to on the phone?!!! I just spent literally 25min. trying to make an adjustment on one of my accounts and after I finally got her on the phone and told her what needed to be changed she says, "please hold while I make the necessary adjustments!" I'm not kidding another 10min. (I know this 'cause my phone shows how long you've been on it). I'll tell ya it's just a good thing that w/age, for me anyway, comes patience! :P
Well I finally have something to write about. I'll tell ya remodeling is for the birds. We thought we would take out carpet and trim, paint and lay new laminate wood floors, uhuh! We ended up renting a u-haul trailer so we could put our furniture in it. I had my china cabinet and my 60in. tv in my kitchen, (good thing about that was I didn't have to cook)!
