SUNDAY 21st Feb: Sand dunes

Sidney:    The shed roof is peeling worse and worse.  Of course, i always said it would be a complete disaster.  So reassuring to be always right, isn't it?   Once i am trapped in prison, I won't be able to monitor the deterioration, will I? 2 days before they abandon me.   Cato:       We went to the Sand Dune beach today.  Haven't been there in ages. we walk along the dune path, then turn round and walk back along the beach.  But we only go in good weather.  Mum took u

SATURDAY 5th Mar: Two walk day!!! Yippee!!!

Sidney: I shall start today, because Mum specially took some pictures to show you how beautiful I am.  I permitted it, because I do not think that dogs should take centre stage in anything, even a blog. So this is me, first thing this morning.  I am not sleepy.  I am blinking slowly and lovingly at Mum, because I want her to open the window.  She slept in til 9 this morning.  I had been very patient.  The big green lump is Dad.  Very useful as a pillow and foot rest. When Mu

WEDNESDAY 9th Mar: Downpour

Sidney: Firstly I would like make sure people realise that the alley belongs to me.  Not the dogs.  We live on the left of the alley, and the woman who leaves food down for the fox lives over to the right and round the corner.  So I have to jump down those walls and scale the other side - all with a War Wound.  AND I have to make sure that there aren't any upstarts and tresspassers.  It isn't easy you know.  Mum will post the picture again here, just to make sure you realise how danger

My Important Duties as Patroller and Organiser

Hello Aunties, Just thought I would let you know about my important daily duties that I do daily for the pack and around the house. They are very important.  Did I tell you that?  Cos they are. This is what I do: morning Garden Patrol, including side passage and rear gate.  Poo.  Wee. collecting post, parcels and leaflets.  I don’t actually collect them.  I Alert Mum and then we go and collect the stuff together from the porch. Important Snooze before breakfas

Fri 23rd Mar: The Big Adventure

Tara: So Mum and Dad wanted to give me a nice big mountain walk after we had a wet and windy day, and didn't walk AT ALL.  They said that I NEEDED it, and Mum said that if I didn't get a walk then she was going to spend the night in the hot tub, cos I was all Ninja and Amazing and a Little Madam.  Which is good, isn't it?  Although I didn't want Mum to go to sleep in all that splashy stuff, so it was good we had a walk, wozn't it? Anyway, there are lots of pics, so this is going to be

THURSDAY 25th August: Foxy with Dad

Tara: Haha!  Me and Dad went for a walk at FoxyPArk today, and Cato woz allowed to come too.   No pics cos Dad forgot the camera thing AND his phone at the same time.  But it woz still fun.  We had lots of bouncing, and it wozn't too hot, and we got a bit wet foots.  And I kept an eye out for my friend Daisy, and my hero William, but they wozn't there. We did meet lots of people though.  A Westie, two shih Tzu Lhasa crosses, a Lab and a couple of others including a Beagle.  I subm

Holiday 4: Cotehele House

Cato: Hello Aunties! Mum says she wants to do this blog bit.  That is OK, isn't it?  I hope you don't mind.  Only we were asleep under a picnic table with Dad when Mum took all these pics, and they are ever so dull.  And un-sniffy.  But it was OK cos we had some of the eggy bit of his quiche, and Tara was allowed a finger lick of icecream!  I didn't want it. So Mum is going to try and make them interesting for you, and then I will blog the next interesting bit.   Mum:

FRIDAY 6th May: Town Centre again

Cato: We woz still tired today.  Dad has been sorting out the garden shed this morning.  So we helped, but even that woz tiring.  So Mum said only a little walk at lunchtime.  It was street stuff.  Into town to get stuff for Dad's lunch cos he didn't want stuff from the fridge.  Wish we were allowed to say that!  We could go into town and get steak every day, couldn't we?  Anyway, this is the road into town and as you can see, Tara is already trying to pull Dad around.  While I am not.

MONDAY 11th July: Foxy again

Tara: Hello Aunties!  Cato has been telling Mum off for falling behind with the blogg dictation.  this woz our Monday walk - that is ages ago, isn't it?  Bad Mum! Cato wanted to give AuntieSophie'sHaven something to read when she has her morning coffee.  I do too!  Only I want to show you pics of ME!  Cos they are more interesting than boring word stuff. Here is a flower.  No one knows wot is is, but Mum likes it.  But then she is flower mad. Look, nice Mr Council Man ha

WEDNESDAY 4th April: Flower Fest

Mum: Lots of work on at the moment, plus the hot tub, of course.  So I didn't get time to take yesterday's Blog dictation from the Hounds.   Actually, they had forgotten, so I popped their comments in for yesterday, and today is ALL MINE, and I can show you a few photos that I couldn't fit in yesterday from Foxy Park.   Hope you like them. Miniature blue bells (I think) tulips and shadows: the mud: a bumble bee in the shade and a moment

TUESDAY 1st Mar: Rain and repairs

Mum: Just one photo today.  It is self explanatory. What you may not be able to see is that it is pouring with rain.  Most of the day. can you SEE how desperate Tara is, to get up that ladder? I didn't walk them today, because of work/internet/hassle/issues that I had to work on.  So Dad took them down to the beach (on foot) in a brief dry spell, and treated himself to a cuppa in the nice beach cafe. They came home WILDLY excited, and full of stories and thrills an

SATURDAY 12th November: Daisy and William

Tara: Here I am in my RED jumper.  I look good, don't I?  With my RED bow and all.  I look good enough to, I dunno, meet the paw of my dreamz, if he happened along... Although it woz a bit chilly and damp and muddy, and I did bounce on Cato a bit.  Which woz great fun, but may have made my knickers a bit wet. But then, HE won't mind soggy knickers... And then... Look! Across the romantic forest floor... the paw of my dreamz!!!! William!!!!!! (and I kn

SATURDAY 2nd July: Rain yesterday, beach today! yay!

Tara: Too wet for a walk yesterday, so I spent the evening bouncing on Cato instead.  Mum ended putting him on her lap where I couldn't reach.  Not fair! But today we had a good beach walk!  Sunny and sandy and lots of big dogs!  Look wot I found!  Mud!  Cos of yesterday's rain (every cloud...) Cato tried to drink it.  Of course.  But Mum stopped him and gave us a stinky bottle drink instead. This is the holiday place.  I don't understand, but Mum says all these tiny

WEDNESDAY 24th Feb: Holidays are exhausting!

Mum:    Lots of photos today.  Skip 'em if they bore you!    Cato:     Soooooo tired!  We had 3 long walks today.  Three! first one was in Hebden Bridge.  Mum said we was gonna have lovely doggy cakes and beer in a lovely cafe.  But there was flooding a few weeks ago, and our cafe was closed while being un-flooded. so we had a breakfast sausage sitting in the freezing cold (ice on puddles!) outside a not-doggy cafe.  Not very nice.  But then we had a walk along the canal,

Holiday: Sunday (Alnwick food festival)

Cato: Today we went to a town called Alnwick to a bookshop that lets paws in.  It was HUGE and very boring, except for the woman who gave me a great chin rub, and a man who gave Tara an ear rub.  The books were very dull! Mum says it is the best bookshop ever. Inside an old train station and with a cafe and armchairs and stuff. Then we saw chickens and geese and sheep and stuff at the Food Festival in town.  Human food, not paw food. This is us meeting the chicken

Fri 12th May: Bear Woods after rain

Tara: So there was no blogging for AGES, on account of Cato being all wimpy in the tummy, and me and Dad going out walking by ourselves.  I don't really like it when Cato doesn't come with us.  It isn't the same.  I keep looking round for him, and he isn't there.  Dad didn't take any pics.  And then it rained for days!  That was REALLY boring. But then one day Me and Mum and Dad and Cato all went for a Pack Walk in Bear Woods.  Dad said things like 'It'll be all muddy soggy.' and 'If i

SATURDAY 23rd October: Town walk with Auntie :)

Tara: We had a lovely walk today.  With AuntieSue.  And I got to sit on her lap!  And I love her.   Cato was all pushy and wanting attention, see? But look how much I love her!  I love her more than he does! And isn't my bow pretty? Mum was doing lots of yellow tree stuff as we walked round.  Not interesting. This is me asking for AuntieSue and Mum to sit down.  They didn't.  I really like this bench.  I jump up on it every time we go past.  Doing

WEDNESDAY 27th Apr: Sleet again

Cato:  Oh aunties, can you make it stop sleeting?  We haven't had a walk again today!  It was sunny for tiny bit of the morning, and then it just got worse and worse.  Even Tara is getting used to just sleeping!  And Mum keeps disapearing into the hot splash pool.  All we can do is bounce a bit together, and bounce a bit with Mum or Dad when they aren't doing other stuff. It isn't much of a life! Could we come and stay (Mum and Dad too) somewhere nice and warm and dry, with some of you

TUESDAY 3rd May: Sniffs and hunts and fun stuff

Cato: So we went to Foxy Park today, and it was really good.  Lots and lots of sniffs, and Tara wasn't too unbearable.  And I met Jess again.  I like her. Anyway, this is wot happened: This was meeting a nice cockerpoo.  She was very friendly, and she wanted to play, but her Mum was in a hurry. and this was Jess.  I remember Jess being nice to me when I was as small as a guineapig and the park was so scary I used to hide under Mum's skirt. There were too many p

WEDNESDAY 8th December: Cato wins!

Tara:    Cato is being very weird.  I told you that before.  But... he is ruining my Bounce Fun.  He is being very um... rough.  And bossy.  Mum keeps talking about pack dynamos n stuff.  But it doesn't help at all.  Why can't he go back to being all wimpy and fun to splat?   Cato: Ace walk today!  I used not to like the beach, but it is growing on me!  Yay!  We waited til it stopped raining, then me and Mum and Dad and Tara all went down the beach.  It woz fun! That is

Ages ago: Special Snow

Tara: Mum just found this pic on her phone and said I could do a Blog Special, coz I am Special. The pic is from AGES ago.  Like, weeks and weeks and weeks ago (Mum: 2 weeks, actually) when we had some SNOW.  This is the only snow we have had in forever, so it woz really exciting.  You can see Dad's great big Dad foots prints.  And you can see Cato's footprints.  But you can't see mine!  Haha!  Cos I wouldn't go outside, even though I was busting for a wee.  It woz all cold and we

Sat 24th Mar: Where we stayed

Cato: These are lllllamas.  They were living over the wall from Mum's splashy pool. and this was the view from our window.  The big window that we could see out of cos it goes down to the floor. and this was Tara's bench.  And my widdle tree. This was when it had just started snowing on the Snow Day.  Looking out through our window. and this is looking out through the door. this is when I needed a wee, and Dad pushed the snowdrift away so I

Mum: Oooooh the Drama!!!

Mum: I usually clip the toenails every couple of weeks between groomings.  Or rather, I check them then, and only cut them if I feel the need. Well, there has been 'a need' for a week or so, and I have been avoiding it, because none of us exactly enjoy the experience.  Tara seems to have ticklish back paws.  Cato has had the quick nipped a couple of times by the groomer, and he isn't exactly a stoic little soul.  So now he gets into a tizz whenever I approach with the clippers...

SUNDAY 31st Jan: Boring Sunday

SUNDAY   Cato: We were supposed to see Auntie Jane today for breakfast (sausages, yum!) and a walk in the little park.  But she isn’t feeling well, so we didn’t.  And it was raining.  So we had a boring morning sleeping instead.  Then it rained all afternoon.  Then it got dark.  And then it was bedtime.  We didn’t do anything interesting AT ALL, ALL DAY.  I think Mum was bored too.  She decided that my Tinkle needed a trim.  I don’t like that.  But I can wee without spraying my fe
