Sun 16th Apr: Bunni Day! Pink stuff! AuntieJane!

Cato:  This is me and AuntieJane and all the pink stuff.  She said Mum could take the pic and show all of you.  I was supposed to be with AuntieJane in the shot, but I forgot and went and sniffed something. Cos it was BunniDay, and cos the sun was out, there were lots and lots and lots of paws around.  Mum made muttery noises about why do we only see people when it is sunny?  Don't they walk their dogs the rest of the year?  But I just liked meeting people and making new friends.    Th

Friday 3rd February: Mum's Birthday

Cato: Cos it was Mum's birthday, she and Dad didn't do boring work stuff!  Yay!  So we went round to Mam and Pop's and got stick treats and snuggles with Pop on the sofa.  And then we went for a long walk at the Centre of the Universe.  It was all sunny and blue. This is Tara finding another wall to climb on.  But then a huge German Shepherd walked past, and she got into a tizz cos the Shepherd walked between her and Mum.  She stayed a bit closer for a bit.  And then she forgot al

THURSDAY 19th May: Petals and pinecones

Cato:   No Big Bed last night.   We did ask.  I asked a LOT.  But we had to go in our Dens.  Dad put us down there.  And then he put Tara back down there 3 times when she jumped back up.  I just sat and Meercatted, cos I am more polite than Tara, but Dad even resisted my Meercat requests. And then I had to have a poo event in the middle of the night.  Mum thinks it was the salmon.  I LOVE salmon.  But I don't like poo events when I have to ask Dad to carry me downstairs. But then

Hothothot

Cato: Hello Aunties! It is veryveryvery hot.  Dad has been taking us to the park very early for Tara and Jasmine to beat each other up, and for me to get my sniffs.  But it is so hot that I don’t want to get back in the car, after.  And then I have to snooze all day to rest.  Tara sleeps too.  Mum’s lap is hot too. Jasmine doesn’t sleep.  Well, she dozes for a bit.  But not properly.  Today she kept waking up, and she does stuff.  Restless stuff.   Today she ate a lavender bush to

MONDAY 18th Apr: Soggy Foxy, William and Alfie

Tara: Foxy park!  Yay!   This is Alfie sniffing my knickers.  He was very old and very blind, but he was quite nice.  I have a very clean tummy, don't I? We went along in a line.  Cato first, then Alfie sniffing Cato's bum, then me sniffing Alfie's bum... then Alfie's Dad had to come over and tap Alfie on the shoulder cos his cataracts mean he can't seen his Dad much any more.  But they still have great walks.   This is me and Dad playing King of the Castle (or is t

SATURDAY 30 July: Tunneling Adventure

Cato: So Mum remembered the Tunnel, wot AuntieCrystal wanted to see.  And we wanted to see it too.  So Mum and Dad came with us to the big park with the lake, and we went and found the Tunnel entrance.  It was quite difficult, cos it was so overgrown, but I found it - see? Follow me! It was very cool and sniffy and damp.  Dad said there would be mud. and there woz!!!     this bit was fun.  We had a fight. it woz a very looooon

Wed 3rd May: My garden at Grandad's

Cato:   When we go and stay with G&G I get to have a whole new big garden, and to supervise Grandad when he does plant stuff.  Although sometimes he doesn't do stuff like he should. Mum says I shouldn't be so bossy.  But it is hard not to be when I see Grandad doing stuff that is wrong. This is him on the bald bit.  It is good for peeing and pooing, but he is fussing with it, and keeps digging holes and filling them with plants.  I don't mind the holes, but why does he want to

Sun 12th Nov 17: Storm incoming!

Tara: It was FAB!!!! We went out to the sausage place with Mum and Dad.  It woz windy and cold and blue sky sunny and sniffy and fun.  The wind swirled around my knickers and I was all bouncy and hoppy, and nearly tripped Mum up.  And we were looking for cats EVERYWHERE!!! The floor is always too clean! But then when we had sat under the table for AGES and had our water and our treats and our sausages, we went outside and look! The sun had disappeared! T

Cato: No walk yesterday.  too hot. But a nice Dad walk at Foxy park today.  Mum was home computering, so we didn't have the flower hunt and stuff.  So these pics are REALLY INTERESTING and SNIFFY This is my fallen branch, wot everyone has widdled on as they arrive at the park.  Veeeeery intererestink. This is were Mum and AuntieJane saw that ill pigeon and didn't tell us about it!!! Tara thinks she can still smell it. OK, so maybe you can smell pigeon.  At le

Sun 30th April: Foxy in the sun

Hello Auntiees! This is Foxy park in the sun.  The daffydillies are all over though. Tara saw William again.  We have seen William a lot lately, haven't we?  She is shaking her head here.  I spect she thinks he like it, or something.  She is very silly. this is a Rowan tree with a Rowan flower thing. and this is Jack.  He is much nicer now.  Although his Dad can't get him to chase balls any more.  He used to.  We used to watch.  But now he doesn't.  Mum thinks

TUESDAY 7th June: Donkeys and buttercups

Tara: So we had to wait for ages and ages cos it was hot again.  Mum wouldn't take us out all day, until it was cooler.  But that woz OK cos it meant I could bounce on Cato more! And he was quite bouncy too.  I think he got bored with sleeping all day as well. This is me after bouncing.  Mum says I look like a Hooligan.   But it was FUN.  Even more fun than helping Dad with the shed, and helping with the grocery delivery.  And it was MUCH more fun that sleeping all

SUNDAY 17th July 2016: Sausage Sunday

Tara: Sausages 2 days in a row, for Breakfast!  Mum says it isn't to be encouraged, and now we have to go a whole week without sausages.  Not fair! But we did see Auntie Jane, and go for a Foxy walk.  We always do Foxy on Sundays, cos of Aunty Jane.  It was fun.  Hot but fun.  Of course, Cato wimped out, as usual.  I will show you the good bits, then Cato can do the boring bits.  Sounds fair, doesn't it? Here I am, near the end.  3 sprouts today, but a bug got in them, and I had t

MONDAY 1st August: Foxy with Mum

Tara: Hello Aunties!  We had a fab walk today at Foxy.  It was cooler, and wimpy Cato actually fought back!  It was ACE!!! Though he did get all puffed and floppy by the end.  And then we slept ALL afternoon.  Well, I slept.  Cato SNORED. There were people everywhere! My stick! This is him trying to steal it!   We had LOTS of fights.  It was great. This is me trying to get Cato to play when he had wimped out. This is me after

TUESDAY 15th November: slippy leaves and sog

Cato: Tara is sulking cos we didn't go back to the muddy bits today.  So I shall blog it all. We went to the field at the end of the road first. LOTS of interesting sniffs.  We walked all the way round.  Down the steps and round.  There was a Shar Pei walking when we arrived, but her Dad kept her away from us, cos she is terrified of 'little dogs'.  Isn't that weird.  Anyway, I'm not little, am I Aunties?  I am the perfeck size. This is why Tara is huffing.  Not enough m

Wed 8th Mar: Beach again

Tara: Ha ha!  Beach again.  But Mum forgot the camera and her phone thing. It was sniffy, and I wore my blue jumper, and Mum wouldn't let me bounce on Cato properly.  But that was all that happened. Oh, and we had bobolognezee sauce on our tea.  It woz lovely!!!

MONDAY 31st October: Halloween Pack Walk at Foxy

Cato: Dad and Mum could both come on our walk today, so we had a Pack walk together, at Foxy, cos Mum said we might be able to see some ghosty monster things there, under the leaves, if we sniffed really hard!  But instead we found Georgie. It was very leafy Tara just wanted treats.  So she climbed up on every bench and asked for them.  She looks a bit sulky here, doesn't she?  That is cos Mum said 'not this time, Little Madam!' Haha! This is the Step Mountai

THURSDAY 7th July: Warm windy Foxy

Tara: Yesterday it was nice and cool and windy, so wimpy Cato didn't stop us from walking.  Yay! This is me and Dad under the big trees.  Where the daffys used to be.  Lots of sniff! Me and nettles.  Mum said not to sniff them.  so I did.  But then she said they were too young to stingify.  so now I need to sniff them again, when they are bigger. Me, Dad and Cato.  Cato lagging behind.  Of course. He is so slllllloooooooooowwwwwwww! This is Cato being

Stormy Skies

Mum: Today's walk was a beach walk. I will let Tara tell you all about it later, but I just wanted to post a few of the sky pics I took because they are pretty amazing. We set off in the car to a blue sky and high white clouds, but in the 10 minutes it took to drive to the beach the dark rainclouds were rolling in... It was a proper bank of cloud, carrying rain (but not a downpour).  Hardly more than a shower. And then it rolled away again. l

TUESDAY 6th December: Beachy Battles

Tara:   Epic Ninja Beach Battles today!  And look, someone brushed the sand for us!  It was weird to walk on.  All soft. Cato didn't like it to start with, but then he caught up with Me and Dad. So I had to fight him. But Aunties, I think you need to have a bit of a word with Mum.  About Cato.  Cos he has been a bit weird lately, and it is all wrong.  It started with the whole gluten free thing.  I mean, I don't mind that he is so wimpy that he can't

THUR&FRI 14-15th July: Dad walks

Cato: Dad took us out really early cos it was going to be hot, and we just went round the PingPongPavillion park.  It was very, very sunny.  And hot. And sniffy. I went on strike, cos I knew we had to go up the hill on the way home, but Dad didn't fall for it, and I had to run to catch up.   Then the next day we went to The Big Lake again, with Dad instead of Mum. And we walked the same route we did with Mum day befo

SUNDAY 3rd June: How things change

Mum: No walk today.  Out with Auntie Jane for breakfast, as usual, but when we returned to the car, we had a flat tyre. I pumped it up, dropped her home and then came home myself.  If we are going to fight with the spare and organise a puncture repair, I would much rather be doing it from home than stuck in some park car park!   Anyway, the Hounds are sleeping off their sausage, and harumphing cos they were deprived a walk - can't do it now.  Too hot on the pavements and then

SATURDAY 19th November: bounce Bounce BOUNCE!!!

Cato: Ooooh Aunties, it was soooo nice to be able to go out and RUN and BOUNCE!  And the sun was out!  And we didn't need coats!  And it wasn't RAINING! That was first sniff.  Always VERY important, first sniffing, isn't it?  Sets you up for the rest of the walk. Mum was going doolally about 'the sun!' and 'the light!' and stuff, but we said she would have to save that for her own bloggy thing, cos there wasn't room in OUR blog today for all her boring plant stuff.  So she is

Holiday: Wednesday (Cragside)

Cato:  Today was full of hills and sniffs and rhodododododendron mazes, and waiting for people, and Mum sleeping a lot. It was another long trip in the car, which I don't really like, but it was worth it!  We got to somewhere called Cragside https://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/cragside, and went around the road on the estate.  It is miles and miles and miles long, and has woods and lakes and benches, and stuff.  It was all builded by this important man who liked water and got sunken b*ths and

Cato, harness and tail (shhh! don't tell him I blogged this!)

Mum: You can see from these the relative positions of tail and lead, and how because his back is shorter, I need to move the D ring forward a bit. Also, the tail trim... ?  I wouldn't mind, but the tail can't really be cut any shorter, and it is STILL touching the leash and making him flinch and look over his shoulder! This last shot shows it best, I think. They are both wearing the XXS top piece (that is the purple or red section of the harness)
