THUR&FRI 14-15th July: Dad walks

Cato: Dad took us out really early cos it was going to be hot, and we just went round the PingPongPavillion park.  It was very, very sunny.  And hot. And sniffy. I went on strike, cos I knew we had to go up the hill on the way home, but Dad didn't fall for it, and I had to run to catch up.   Then the next day we went to The Big Lake again, with Dad instead of Mum. And we walked the same route we did with Mum day befo

SATURDAY 16th July: Brunch walk

Tara: Hahaha! Cato has gone for a snooze after all that blogging about our other walks, so now I get to tell you about our exciting walk today.  With sausage, and summer beach dens and EVERYTHING! First we went in the car to the salt marsh beach, but then we went North to the Centre of the Universe, instead of South to my Memory Benches. They had planted trees and poppies nearby. This is wot we saw (it was very dark and we thought it woz going to rain) The

Tara: Hello Aunties!  Cato has been telling Mum off for falling behind with the blogg dictation.  this woz our Monday walk - that is ages ago, isn't it?  Bad Mum! Cato wanted to give AuntieSophie'sHaven something to read when she has her morning coffee.  I do too!  Only I want to show you pics of ME!  Cos they are more interesting than boring word stuff. Here is a flower.  No one knows wot is is, but Mum likes it.  But then she is flower mad. Look, nice Mr Council Man ha

MONDAY 4th July: Foxy sniffs and secret doors

Cato: Hello Aunties!  We had to wait for EVER today for our walk.  Mum said it woz too hot for me to walk at lunchtime, so we had to wait til she finished work.  But it was a mistake, cos there were children all over the park, and Mum said Never Again!!! Anyway, good sniffies, eh? And Mum keeps trying to distract us from going across this bit.  Too many grass seeds, she says.  Hahaha! Foxy never came back, you know.  It doesn't even smell of him any more.

TUESDAY 30th August: Wild Woodses

Cato: Dad was at work, so it was just Mum and us, but that means we don't have to worry about Dad getting lost, and we can sniff and explore and sniff and explore. So Mum found the bear.  We think.  It doesn't really actually look like a bear.  But we think it must be.   There are other animals too.  See?  These must be brothers to our squirrel and fox in Foxy Park! and then we went into the woods...  It was all hot and baking in the sun, and all

FRIDAY 19th August: New Beach!!!

Mum: Pics are now working for me.  let me know if they aren't working for you.  Mind you, haven't a clue how to sort it if there is still a problem!   Cato: Exciting!  we found a new part of the world!  And a new beach!  It was marvellously sniffy! We started off with a nice sausage breakfast, with Dad.And then walked along the seafront bit, where we aren't allowed down on the beach.  We walked past the nice biscuit place, where we get biscuits and Mum and Dad have borin

THURSDAY 25th August: Foxy with Dad

Tara: Haha!  Me and Dad went for a walk at FoxyPArk today, and Cato woz allowed to come too.   No pics cos Dad forgot the camera thing AND his phone at the same time.  But it woz still fun.  We had lots of bouncing, and it wozn't too hot, and we got a bit wet foots.  And I kept an eye out for my friend Daisy, and my hero William, but they wozn't there. We did meet lots of people though.  A Westie, two shih Tzu Lhasa crosses, a Lab and a couple of others including a Beagle.  I subm

SATURDAY 27th August: Flowerfest IV

Mum: Town Park today.  Haven't been there in ages, so it was lovely to see the flowers still in bloom.  There was even a buddleia still going strong - but it was quite close to the lake, so I think it must get a lot more water than the plants in Foxy Park. Aren't these lovely?  So bright. White hydrangea Sorry about the focus on a couple of these.  I was using the iphone again, and don't have a zoom or focus thingy.

SUNDAY 28th August: Flowerbed massacre

Cato: Remember last week when Mum and AuntieJane got all cross and bothered about some flowerbed?  Well this time Mum took some photos to show you.  From all the flapping and squeaking and stuff they were very upset.  But no one lifted me up to show me, so I didn't see.   But there was lots of sniffage around the wall of the raised bed, so I didn't really mind.  And some recycling bins that smell fascinating.  Mum says there may be rats and foxes that check out the bins at night.  Isn'

MONDAY 29th August: Bank Holiday promenade

Cato: Today is a Holiday for Banks, Mum says.  Which means she doesn't have to do computer stuff all day.  So we had a lovely Big Bed Snuggle, and a lie in.  I rumbled and groaned and asked to be let up onto the bed really early (Mum 3am!) but they didn't know how early it was (Mum: yes I did!) and so I got away with it (Mum: only cos Dad had to go to work at 6am, and I didn't want to disturb him!). Then we went to find Dad.  Because of the Holiday, and the hothothot sun, Mum took us t

WEDNESDAY 17th August: Reverse tunnelling

Cato: Big Lake walk!  Oooh Aunties, it was LOVELY!  We hadn't been out since ages and ages, and Tara was so full of bounce it was unbearable!  Mum checked her magic weather predictor thing, and it was going to be cool!  So we set off.  Round the lake.  One lady laughed at Tara's mohawk, and said how sweet it is.  Yuck.  Who wants to be sweet? The big hissy swans are all huge and floating about in groups.  Mum says they still have all six babies, but they aren't babies any more, are the

SATURDAY 27th August: Town Park pack walk

Tara: All of us together.  They are the bestest walks, aren't they?  Even when Cato slows us down.  I am doing my athleticals whenever I can, you know.  Cos our holiday is only a few sleeps away, and I need to get ready to climb mountains and stuff (Mum: 3 weeks to holiday.  can't wait!). So this is me on one of my benches. And this is me hunting in a flowerbed.  Dad told me off.  But it was VERY sniffy. This is after my hunt.  Doesn't my bow look good?

FRIDAY 26th August: Modelling Diva

Cato: Dad took us for a Spa day today.   And we stink of baby powder.  It is very tiring.  And Tara doesn't help.  All I want to do is snooze.  Mum says we can watch tv together when she has finished blogging.   Tara: So this is me all fluffy and b*thed and stuff.  And wearing my pink and white polka dot bow.  I like this one.  But when you are a Supermodel Ninja, I think that hair should be able to stay in place when you do cool ninja moves on slug-like wimpy Catos, don't yo

WEDNESDAY 24th August: Work with Mum!!!

Cato: No pics today, cos Mum woz being prof- froff- proffessal.  She had to do a meet thing with her bosslady, but becos Mum works from home, Bosslady said 'let's go to the stinky coffeeplace.'  and Mum said 'Can Cato and Tara come and be veryveryvery good sitting under the table no-bother-at-all becos then we can walk there and back.' So we did. It was very, very boring.  They just jabbered and jabbered and jabbered about numbers.  And Tara was only a bit of a pest for attention.

Tail Trouble

Mum: I know that lots of your do a proper groom.  Table, set positions, lying on the side, different combs and brushes and stuff. But that isn't how we roll. We have a grooming table, which I love, but I only use it to do Tara's hair, and for face, foot, knicker and tail trims.  The rest of the time grooming is a comfortable snugglefest on the sofa in the front room, while watching tv.  One brush (pinbrush) and Wen revitalising leave in hair conditioner. This is usually fanta

MONDAY 22nd August: Mud puppies

Tara: Ooooh Aunties, it was FAB today.  Not so hot, so we set off for Bear Woods.  Not that we have found the bear yet!  Anyway, as we left the house, it started to rain.  Dad nearly turned back, but me and Mum said we wanted to get wet and splooshy, and stuff.  So we did. Best walk in AGES!!!  It was sooooo lovely and cool and sniffy.  Even Cato didn't wimp out, so it woz fun til the end!!! Look at me!  I am in front! Me and Dad.  He loves me.  And I love him.  But he

SUNDAY 21st August: Daisy

Tara: Hot hot hot!  Mum says it was nearly to hot to walk.  First we went for breakfast with Auntie Jane, and sausage, of course.  And then we went to Foxy Park, like usual. But Mum said this time we were only going to go round once!  So I had to do extra special bouncing to make sure I got enough! We saw Daisy again! And some dachshunds.   They were very steady and polite and boring.  But I liked Daisy.  She was more interested in Cato to start with, but I b

SATURDAY 2nd July: Rain yesterday, beach today! yay!

Tara: Too wet for a walk yesterday, so I spent the evening bouncing on Cato instead.  Mum ended putting him on her lap where I couldn't reach.  Not fair! But today we had a good beach walk!  Sunny and sandy and lots of big dogs!  Look wot I found!  Mud!  Cos of yesterday's rain (every cloud...) Cato tried to drink it.  Of course.  But Mum stopped him and gave us a stinky bottle drink instead. This is the holiday place.  I don't understand, but Mum says all these tiny

THURSDAY 30th June: Foxy park pack stuff

Tara: Pack walk.  With Dad.  We woz showing him the way to go, as usual, cos he walks off in funny directions, sometimes, and doesn't always know the best sniffy route. This is the bottom of the Entmoot.  Cato is obsessed.  But he is never going to manage to widdle on every tree, in one go, is he? Aren't I cute?  Cuter than Cato!  Hahaha! I look like mud wouldn't melt, don't I? Ooooh look!  Mud.  Hahaha! And this is a secret sniffy door in the pa

SUNDAY 14th August: Mohawk Day!

Tara: We went to see AuntieJane and had breakfast.  But it wozn't sausage, cos Mum fancied scrambledy eggses and a kipper.  So we had to have egg too.  Cato didn't think he liked it, so I went to eat his share too, and he suddenly decided it woz delicious.  Not fair!!! Look at Me!!!  This is my new Mohawky hairstyle.  Mum got all crabby when she woz doing my hair, but she got there in the end.  I was very good, and she gave me treats.  I am always good.  But it woz too neat and tidy, s

SATURDAY 13th August: Beachy explorations

Cato:   Mum didn't have to do her work thing today, so we had a bit of a lie in, then we got ready (Tara's hair takes AGGGEEEESSSSSS) and went out before breakfast!  Dad was out, so we could go to the big beach.  Last time we went there he fell over in the slippy sand, and he says he doesn't like it any more.  I don't understand, cos his wrist has stopped hurting now. Anyway, it was fun.  Really early, and sunny.  The bit I didn't like was going down that ramp slope thing to the beach.  Mum

THURSDAY 11th August: Short and hot

Cato: Tara is snoring, so I get to tell you about our walk in Foxy.  It wasn't a long walk, on account of being so hot.  And Tara was all bouncy, and rough, so we got worn out really quickly.  But Mum took some nice pics.  So here goes. This was an epic battle.  I scooted Tara up the bum to start with.  I knew what I was doing.  But she over-reacted a bit, I think. See what I mean? But then she let me up, so I scooted her again!  He he! and then we had a r

WEDNESDAY 10th August: Huntin' Bear!!!

Tara: Hahaha!  Mum's been a lazy slug for DAYS and hasn't been taking dictation.  So we have lots and lots of catching up to do.  I'm first.  Then Cato can do the next one, while I have a snooze. So, we went back to the Wild Woods hunting that bear statue.  Well, I woz hunting.  Mum woz piccing.  Dad was striding.  And Cato woz wimping. Look wot I found!!! lots of balancing ballet tutu beams! See how graceful and athletical I am?  Hope our holiday comes soon, cos I

Aunties HELP!!!

Mum has tied me to her desk! I am a prisoner! She is MEAN!!! I woz garding the garden from monsters and cats and attack butterflies.  And I woz bored!!!  So I barked.  And barked.  And barked.   And barked! Cos monsters and cats and attack butterflies all need barking at, don't they? Then Mum comes out with the old lead, and ropes me up.  I've only got 6 feet of rope, 2 beds, a bowl of water and a pigs ear.  IT IS TERRIBLE!!! And I can't see wot is going on in
