Can't Help But To Feel Sad...........

I love trees, flowers, gardens, etc. My neighborhood is fairly new but established, most houses are 15 yrs old or younger and there aren't very many trees around as it had been a farm previously. My next door neighbor just cut down their one and only established tree. First Rehearsal on the actual Set

This will be a short entry as I have to leave shortly for our first Dress Rehearsal, Yay!!!! Last night was our first time on the actual stage using lighting, curtains, everything but costumes. Stct's 2nd Birthday/anniversary

Here We Go Again!

Well Saturday evening I attended an awards banquet hosted by our local Community Theater Group. They presented me with an award similar to a congeniality award, thought it was so sweet of them . In addition I got to see several of the cast members from the play which was great. I really missed them and have decided that whoever gets their copy of the play first starts a telephone chain to get together to watch it as a group at my place, the idea was well received. Building The Set

Today was a long & exhausting but fun day. We all met at the storage building at 10am to help load the truck with the items needed to build the set as well as furnishings like a desk, chairs, tables, etc. After the truck was loaded we all went to the Conservation League which is where our production is being held to build the set. Crazy Neighbors

Hmm, lets see. Someone started a post about crazy next door neighbors and I thought hmm, I’ve had my fair share of a few and it's probably best to just blog about some of my experiences . Been a while.........

I have been so super busy that I haven't even had much on line time. Let's Try A New Exercise Class

Okay, I've been getting a little bored at the gym lately. Don't get me wrong as I love working out but now that it's summer I like to do some outdoor activites and our weather here hasn't been the most cooperative . Hold On To Your Grocery Shopping Cart!

I am not a fan of grocery shopping but I usually go on a Sunday to do my weekly shopping. I needed to pick up lots of "odd things" this time such as spices and such. Hooray! No More Stitches!

Well finally it came, no more stitches! I went yesterday morning to have them removed and I'll tell you it couldn't have come quick enough. On Wednesday when I was out and about it seemed my bandage was slipping a bit. I didn't think much of it until I was in the middle of things on Thursday. I realized that I was feeling some discomfort but decided to wait since I'd be going in Friday morning. September Update

Sorry I have not updated in awhile. The fair that the town puts on is now behind me and I'm happy to say it's over. I was so tired after that 11 hour day, too much really. It is not a favorite event of mine and after working it a few years now, I can really say that I have learned to dislike fairs. I never attend any, I've lost interest in them. Well A Taste Of Fall Is In The Air!

Well Country Fair Days are behind me again for another year, thank goodness as it is always a fun but exhausting event. Attendance was down from previous years but some of that might have been attributed to the weather. Camp Open Arms

Well today was time to host Camp Open Arms . Our local Lions Club spends about $1000+, for the one day event providing a full day of food and activities. We had about 150 this year and went through 12 large pizzas, over 300 hot dogs, who knows how many cases of juice/bottled water, ice pops, etc. Only downside today was the temps which stood in the upper 60's with a very strong wind. Shopping For Bargains, One Of My Fav Things Lol.

Well yesterday after I helped someone figure out their brand new lap top (loading different programs and stuff) I was just down the road from the mall so I decided to stop on in to see what kind of "Sales" were actually going on. I was amazed to see that JC Penney had multiple rounders full of clothing marked down to $4.77 an item , I had a good time going through them. Life Update Cont'd

Well I went for the audition and found out the other night I didn't get the part. I am quite okay with it, really. I would have had a great time doing the role as it was a bank robbery/mystery comedy (yeah I know) which took place on an actual moving train. I would have had to leave on Tues evening, car pool for a 4 hour ride, stay overnight and perform 3 shows on Wed, come home and do this 2 weeks in a row. Well It's Happened Again!

I was told not to worry about it for now as the chances of it happening so soon were nill but pfft, it happened! That's what I get for listening to a man! Another Play Update..............

Well there's only 2 more shows till we're done, Friday and Saturday night. It's always bittersweet as you're looking forward to the free time and not having to hear the same lines over and over. You've heard them so many times before, like being stuck in rewind/play for 2 months. Cinderella Waltz Audition

So last night was the audition for the next play I am interested in and I have to be there at 7pm, no problem. I look up on the map where I have to go and have a pretty good idea. It's the town's community center, how hard is that to find . Play Update

I am sorry to say the play has been postponed till mid May. There were just too many obstacles to cope with and this was decided last night between cast and director. To say that this play has been a challenge for our poor Director is putting things mildly. Poor Diane has had her hands very full. Another Life Update For Those Who Want To Know, Lol...

Well I guess I should update as it's been a while. Even though the Melodrama is finished, parties are still happening, we are a party group . I have a Cast party BBQ to attend Sunday late afternoon so the parties still continue. The rehearsals for the new play won't start till mid-July so that's still a little bit away. Life Update, Aug 3rd

Well the store officially reopened last week and as expected, we have been swamped with people. I really am glad to see the warm reception we're getting from the customers, especially the regulars. They're so happy when they see a familiar face cause we have so many new girls working. We have been closed for a little over two months and our customers have really missed us.
