TUESDAY 2nd August: Lake with Dad

Cato: Mum had lots of work stuff today, and Dad woz off work, so we took him to the big park.  It was fab and sniffy, and we showed him the donkeys and everything.   The donkeys were a long way away today.  We couldn't eat their poo unfortunately.   Tara kept trying to show off for the camera, but he didn't take many photos.   And he wandered off a bit, too.  We had to keep an eye on him.     Tara: I had to keep telling Dad to catc

WEDNESDAY 10th August: Huntin' Bear!!!

Tara: Hahaha!  Mum's been a lazy slug for DAYS and hasn't been taking dictation.  So we have lots and lots of catching up to do.  I'm first.  Then Cato can do the next one, while I have a snooze. So, we went back to the Wild Woods hunting that bear statue.  Well, I woz hunting.  Mum woz piccing.  Dad was striding.  And Cato woz wimping. Look wot I found!!! lots of balancing ballet tutu beams! See how graceful and athletical I am?  Hope our holiday comes soon, cos I

Tail Trouble

Mum: I know that lots of your do a proper groom.  Table, set positions, lying on the side, different combs and brushes and stuff. But that isn't how we roll. We have a grooming table, which I love, but I only use it to do Tara's hair, and for face, foot, knicker and tail trims.  The rest of the time grooming is a comfortable snugglefest on the sofa in the front room, while watching tv.  One brush (pinbrush) and Wen revitalising leave in hair conditioner. This is usually fanta

Cato: No walk yesterday.  too hot. But a nice Dad walk at Foxy park today.  Mum was home computering, so we didn't have the flower hunt and stuff.  So these pics are REALLY INTERESTING and SNIFFY This is my fallen branch, wot everyone has widdled on as they arrive at the park.  Veeeeery intererestink. This is were Mum and AuntieJane saw that ill pigeon and didn't tell us about it!!! Tara thinks she can still smell it. OK, so maybe you can smell pigeon.  At le

FRIDAY 9th September: Big Lake, donkeys missing!

Cato: So Dad took us to the big lake park, cos it was so lovely.  Sunny and windy and cool.  And we hadn't been there in AGES.  We had to leave Mum home on the computer  but she says we can have an extra long walk tomorrow to make up.  She has been missing our walks a lot! So it was sooooo sniffy!  This is that first VERY IMPORTANT SNIFF as you set off.  Always tells us all sorts of IMPORTANT SNIFFY THINGS. And we know the way, cos this is our favourite rooting. B

SUNDAY 11th September: Big meetup

Cato: Oooh Aunties, today we met lots and lots of friends and new friends.  The sun was out, the grass was wet, and we had a great walk.  Of course, Mum was doing her pic stuff, but we were so busy meeting and sniffing and socialising with Auntie Jane that we didn't mind the piccing at all.  It was a FabFabFab day! Most important of all, Look!  Foxy is BACK, and has been Autumn cleaning his den!  It is all sniffy again, and neat and tidy.   We didn't meet Daisy this week   b

TUESDAY 13th September: Steaky hotness

Mum:  Hottest September day here since 1911.  I kid you not.  Luckily I was stuck inside on the computer all day, but it was far too hot for lunchtime walkies.  So the little princess has been a bit restless (understatement) and the little prince has been very chilled and relaxed. Mr C developed a yearning for one of his huge steak-fests, so we went out to a steakhouse pub after work to sit outside in the evening sun, me drinking pints of water, Mr C drinking pints of Carling, dogs wistfull

WEDNESDAY 14th September: PingPong with Dad

Cato:   We had to walk early, on account of hotness today.  So we took Dad down to PingPongPark and showed him all the sniffs.  It was still misty cos of the earliness, but the sun came through after and was hothothot. Tara:    This is the park.  You've seen it before.  But it hasn't sniffed all misty before.   Cato:  Dad!  come and see this!  It is REALLY interesting. Tara:    This white fluffy stuff is where someone brushed their dog.  I like the thought of Mum groom

Holiday: Sunday (Alnwick food festival)

Cato: Today we went to a town called Alnwick to a bookshop that lets paws in.  It was HUGE and very boring, except for the woman who gave me a great chin rub, and a man who gave Tara an ear rub.  The books were very dull! Mum says it is the best bookshop ever. Inside an old train station and with a cafe and armchairs and stuff. Then we saw chickens and geese and sheep and stuff at the Food Festival in town.  Human food, not paw food. This is us meeting the chicken

Cato:  Dad took us to AuntieGroomer this morning.  We now stink of babypowder stinky stink stuff.  But we are lovely and soft. Mum says no walk today, cos b*thing is very stressful and cos we walkedandwalkedandwalked with AuntiDogsitter. So today we snooze. its LOVELY.   Tara:  Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Tara: Ha ha!  Beach again.  But Mum forgot the camera and her phone thing. It was sniffy, and I wore my blue jumper, and Mum wouldn't let me bounce on Cato properly.  But that was all that happened. Oh, and we had bobolognezee sauce on our tea.  It woz lovely!!!

TUESDAY 25th October: Cemetery Sniffs

Tara: Cos Mum isn't working this week we are getting more fun walks!  IT is ACE.  I don't think Mum should work at all.  Then we could have nice walks every day.  She says that she is having another holiday.  But if that is true, why haven't we gone back to the Mountains to stay, and have Mountain adventures.  This can't be a PROPER holiday, can it? We hadn't been to Our Field at the end of the road for AGES, so we went today.  It hadn't changed.  Lots of doggy sniffs and pl

WEDNESDAY 2nd November: Bouncy Beach

Tara: Hahaha!  We had a GREAT walk today.  Look.  This is my Beach Face: I am wearing my blue bow, and have sand in my eyebrows.  It was ACE!!! First of all we went to have lunch with Dad in the sausage place beside where Dad works.  And then he left to start being shifty.  Or doing his shifty thing.  Wotever. So we went down ontot he beach, and Mum gave us sausage.  But it woz weird.  They weren't the usual sausages.  They came out of a plastic bag!  Mum says that now

THURSDAY 3rd November: Icky tum

Tara: Cato has been all floppy and boring and sorry for himself today.  He hasn't played.  And he woz sick on the sofa.  And the floor.  And the hall.  And on the green blanket.  And on the blue towel. and he pooped and pooped outside and it smelled weird! And then he and Mum went out!  Without me!  So I took Dad out for a walk, but it wasn't a proper walk cos Mum and Cato didn't come.  Dad says i had my tail all droopy the whole time, but i didn't think about it, cos I woz too bu

MONDAY 14th November: Squelchy gloopy glorious...

MUD!!! Aunties!!! It has arrived.  Look! This is near where we started.  The path is all dry and hard still. but when I saw this puddle, it started to look like the long wait woz over... and then we did this long straight bit, and Mum walked on the grass, and we walked on the almost-mud.   Cos, you know, it might be the best we could find... and Cato wanted to go that way.  And I wanted to go this way, and Mum did wot I wanted for maybe the first time

WEDNESDAY 30th November: Mum's sky pics

Mum: Yesterday was a nice walk, by all accounts, but there are no pics.  They (Dad and the Hounds) went down to the Ping Pong Park, and bounced about playing Truffle Hound, but he forgot the camera. Today, was a disaster!  The dishwasher pump has broken down, and Dad spent most of the morning trying to fix it - with no success.  Then we both had to scoot out to work this afternoon, leaving Their Majesties in charge - with no walk!!!  As you can imagine, this wasn't popular.  So there w

FRIDAY 2nd December: posh French sausages

Cato: Mum and Dad took us out this evening, after they did their work stuff.  It was dark!  We don't usually go out when it is dark.  This is where we went: Did you see the sign saying 'No Dogs On The Furniture'?  haha!  Tara wanted to climb up.  haha! It was nice and warm.  And the nice lady tried to give us biscuits!  We would have liked them, but Mum said 'No Gluten!!!' But it woz OK, cos Dad had some GFSausage in his pocket, and we got some.  It is GREAT, cos now Mum says

TUESDAY 6th December: Beachy Battles

Tara:   Epic Ninja Beach Battles today!  And look, someone brushed the sand for us!  It was weird to walk on.  All soft. Cato didn't like it to start with, but then he caught up with Me and Dad. So I had to fight him. But Aunties, I think you need to have a bit of a word with Mum.  About Cato.  Cos he has been a bit weird lately, and it is all wrong.  It started with the whole gluten free thing.  I mean, I don't mind that he is so wimpy that he can't

WEDNESDAY 8th December: Cato wins!

Tara:    Cato is being very weird.  I told you that before.  But... he is ruining my Bounce Fun.  He is being very um... rough.  And bossy.  Mum keeps talking about pack dynamos n stuff.  But it doesn't help at all.  Why can't he go back to being all wimpy and fun to splat?   Cato: Ace walk today!  I used not to like the beach, but it is growing on me!  Yay!  We waited til it stopped raining, then me and Mum and Dad and Tara all went down the beach.  It woz fun! That is

SUNDAY 11th December: Breakfast Thief!!!

Cato: Ooooh we had a lovely walk today, Aunties.  There was Auntie Jane, and sausage, and sun, and lots of friends!  Look! These are The Westies.  We don't know their names, but there was little miss pink collar, and bouncy blue collar.  They were very nice and friendly.  Miss pink collar wanted to play, and was very waggy. All the leaves have gone now. and the mud has arrived. This is where all the knickerprickles are lurking under the leaves, so Mum does

MONDAY 19th December: Freezing big lake

Tara:  Mum did her computer stuff all morning, and Dad went out.  Then we went for a nice walk at lunchtime.  It was COLD!!!  See how blue the sky is?  That is cos it was so crispy cold and the wind was brrrrrrr!  Mum said that we should have worn coats, but if we ran around a lot, we would stay warm.  And we did. We had to stay on the path, cos Mum said it was too muddy  !!!!! So we went past this man twice, cos we went round the lake twice to get enuff bouncing done. The man woz

SATURDAY 24th December: Xmas Eve

Tara:   This is me this morning in the Big Bed.  That is a pig's ear by my snozzle.  I like to keep it in reach.  and this is Cato in MY bed, before we went out. so I went and sat in HIS bed. Lots of busyness today!  We went shopping with Mum and Dad this morning because Dad needed something for the snaky bit of the new dishwasher. So Mum took pics of it snowing on the High Street.  Look! This is where it wozn't snowing: and this is where is woz!

TUESDAY 27th December: Beachy sniffs

Cato:  Hello Aunties! Beach walk and pics today, and LOTS of sniffs! It was really cold and a Mum said her hands were too cold to take pics when we were down on the beach.  Lots of big bouncy paws, but Tara did OK.  Mum made sure she stayed close, and no one sniffed her knickers at all.   A man larffed at me though.  He had two HUGE paws with him, and they were bouncing and romping about under the pier - a bit close to MY widdling post.  So I trotted over and r

Saturday 14th Jan: New Lake

Tara: Wheeee!  We are at Grandma and Grandad's!!!  And we slept in a new big bed, only it was lower on the floor and Cato got off the bed and did a big sloppy poo on the carpet in the middle of the night!  And Mum and Dad leaped about and turned on the light and fussed and wiped and cleaned and talked.  Only I couldn't help cos they made me stay on the bed.  And Dad took Cato outside twice before morning!  And he used bad language.  And he was tired in the morning.  It woz very exciting.

Mum's new splashy pool

Cato: Well you know how I don't like Mum splashing a lot, on account of all that water being dangerous and scary and frightening.  And Mum's body disappearing, and her being just a talking head?  And me preferring her to have a lap, and for me to be on her lap? Well her old splashy pool died a bit back, and she was happy, cos they did something called a refund.  And she saved and saved and saved her pocket money, and she got a new splashy pool.  And it arrived last week. I don't s
