SUNDAY 26th June: We're home!!!

Cato: Hello Aunties!  We are home!  It was great (except the horrible car which went on for ever and ever and I hated). This is Our Grandad Garden.  Isn't it lovely? There were jackdaws and rabbits and even foxy sniffs through the hedge.  And birds and bird feeders and fallen bird food and a birdbath to drink out of. Mum took lots of flower pics.  But I don't mind telling you about them, cos you can just imagine how fab it was, if the flowers were good, imagine the

SUNDAY 25th September: Sleepy Sunday

Mum: Absolutely nothing happened today (except for me doing holiday laundry! lol) Cato slept the day away, not interested in anything except for a few morsels of cooked chicken, which he ate from my hand.  He slept very well though, and his tummy seemed to have improved a lot. Tara slept the day away, sprawled beside me on the sofa.  Mind you, she WAS interested in food. We didn't go for a walk, and neither of them seemed to miss it.  Apparently we wore them both out with all

SUNDAY 25th December: Xmas Day

Cato: Merry Xmas Aunties!!! We had a great day.  SantaPaws visited in the night, and by morning a parcel had magically appeared on the Big Bed.  It was awesomely sniffy! When we opened it, an New Python slithererered out and attacked us!  It was an amazing battle!!! Me and Tara worked as a team to take it down.  But it was really difficult to kill, and we had to do it overandoverandover again.  Then we went downstairs for scrambledeggandsmokededsalmon breakfast (Mum: 1 teasp as a

SUNDAY 24th July: Walkies - at last

Cato: Auntie Jane couldn't come.  Something about cricket and the weather, and stuff.  Weird.  But it meant that we could take Dad and show him Town Park.  Tara really just wanted to show him where she fell in, and maybe fall in again... Anyway, here are some interesting sniffy holes.  I widdled on the tree.  Well, you have to, don't you? It was LOVELY to be able to run and sniff again, even if Tara came too!  We got there really early, and left before 8.30am.  Best Sunday EV

SUNDAY 24th July: Flowerfest III (Town Park)

Mum:    So, we got up early and went for a walk before breakfast today.  IT STILL got too hot, but at least by that time they were worn out and going slowly. The flowers were AMAZING, and I ended up snapping so many that I need an extra blog entry so that the Mutts don't resent the floral take over: The park rose garden from a distance, doesn't look much in this shot: But the closeups tell a different story Bored and waiting for me to finish taking th

SUNDAY 24rd Apr: Cold and wet and windy and flowery

Tara:  We went out to meet Auntie Jane to show her all my PINK, and she loved it!  She looked at me, and looked at Mum, and looked at me, and looked at Mum, then she said 'You know, you are a really BAD MUM to have deprived her of pink up until now.'  and Mum hung her head and said 'I know.' Hahahaha!  But I didn't have my piggytails in today.  We are saving that til they grow a bit, before I wear them in public. This is me with a stick that Cato wants to steal! and this is r

SUNDAY 23rd October: Foxy with AuntieJane

Cato: Ooooh we had a FAB walk today.  First it was Auntie Jane and sausages!  Yay!  And then it was Foxy Park!  Yayay!!! But I did hear Mum and Autnie making strange noises about something called Gluten Free, and how there is Gluten in sausages, and how Gluten makes Thyroid stuff worse, and how my tummy should be Gluten Free.  It is a bit worrying. Anyway, here is our lovely walk: This is me and Tara meeting Becky's Mum.  Becky is the spaniel.  She was even more timid and sil

SUNDAY 22nd May: Hot, sunny, Auntie Jane

Tara: They took AGES at breakfast.  And every time I whined, Mum prodded me with her toe.  She made me stop!  Not fair!  I was just pointing out that they could talk boring stuff while we were walking and eating sausages! Anyway, eventually we went to Foxy Park - but only after Mum had given away a piece of my sausage.  We were just getting to the Sausage Bit, away from the cafe, and before we got into the car, when Mum says 'Hello gorgeous!' to some fluffy Pomeranian.  And the Pom's D

SUNDAY 21st Feb: Sand dunes

Sidney:    The shed roof is peeling worse and worse.  Of course, i always said it would be a complete disaster.  So reassuring to be always right, isn't it?   Once i am trapped in prison, I won't be able to monitor the deterioration, will I? 2 days before they abandon me.   Cato:       We went to the Sand Dune beach today.  Haven't been there in ages. we walk along the dune path, then turn round and walk back along the beach.  But we only go in good weather.  Mum took u

SUNDAY 21st August: Daisy

Tara: Hot hot hot!  Mum says it was nearly to hot to walk.  First we went for breakfast with Auntie Jane, and sausage, of course.  And then we went to Foxy Park, like usual. But Mum said this time we were only going to go round once!  So I had to do extra special bouncing to make sure I got enough! We saw Daisy again! And some dachshunds.   They were very steady and polite and boring.  But I liked Daisy.  She was more interested in Cato to start with, but I b

SUNDAY 20th November: All Better!

Cato:   Mum doesn't want me to tell you this.  She says it is too early to tell you. but I can't help it!  It is SUCH good news I want to tell you all about it! You know I have had icky ears?  Ever since Mr Vet gave me antiBO stuff when he should have given me antiHisty things?  And then my ears got yeasty sore.  And then other Mr Vet gave me ear stuff, but my ears were still a bit yeasty.   For ages.  And Mum had to clean them every week.  Yuck!  It was cold and slimey.  And smelly.

SUNDAY 20th Mar: RIP Sidney

Very sad to have to announce that Sidney died this morning - massive seizure or stroke or something.  He was 11ish years old. Dad left at 5.30 am for work.  The mutts and I slept in.  Usually Sidney dozes on the bed with me until i get up (see Friday's blog photo).  But today there was no sign, so I assumed Dad had opened the window and he was On Patrol. When i got up i found him lying on the floor, in a very relaxed posture on Dad's side of the bed.  Thought he was dead, but eventuall

SUNDAY 1st May: Park invasion and team spirit

Cato: Breakfast with Auntie Jane Today!  Very waggy.  We got so excited in the car when Auntie Jane appeared that Mum shouted at us for nearly bursting her eardrums.  Wot are eardrums?  We were jumping and barking and being very noisy.  But it is very hard to be quiet when we see Auntie Jane!  She is FAB!!! After breakfast sausage we went to Foxy Park, but it was weird. First great sniff: No Foxy.  He has definitely moved out.  I got right down and sniffified the hole, a

SUNDAY 19th June: Supermodelling

Tara: So it was hot again today, so Cato has been a slumpy blob of boringingness.  I mean, look at him!  Too lazy to flip his ear down. He wouldn't even show an interest in my stick wot I gave him. So today is all about ME and my AWESOME SUPERMODDELLYNESS.  And then Mum says she is going to squeeze a bit of flowery stuff in after, if there is room.  But there won't be, cos my wonderfulness will fill up everything and there won't be any room left. A very insolent pig

SUNDAY 18th December: Foxy bouncing

Tara:  So we didn't get a walk AT ALL yesterday.  Nothing.  It woz terrible.  so I had lotsandlotsandlots of BOUNCE stored up.  See? We met thousandsandthousandsandthousands of paws today.  So many I can't remember all their names.  But I remember their sniffs. Cato likes EVERYONE, doesn't he? I bounced on him so hard that his coat fell off!  hahaha!  and Mum had to carry it. There were whole flocks of paws around.  And some of them were REALLY OLD I decid

SUNDAY 17th July 2016: Sausage Sunday

Tara: Sausages 2 days in a row, for Breakfast!  Mum says it isn't to be encouraged, and now we have to go a whole week without sausages.  Not fair! But we did see Auntie Jane, and go for a Foxy walk.  We always do Foxy on Sundays, cos of Aunty Jane.  It was fun.  Hot but fun.  Of course, Cato wimped out, as usual.  I will show you the good bits, then Cato can do the boring bits.  Sounds fair, doesn't it? Here I am, near the end.  3 sprouts today, but a bug got in them, and I had t

SUNDAY 17th Apr: Monster Watch

Tara: Everybody wanted to see my tuft.  So here it is.  I am looking specially cute because I just tried digging up Mum's ornamental grass and she made the ack-ack-ack noise.  So I cuted at her as a distraction.  Do you think it worked? Here is me cuteing again, so that she doesn't notice I have scrabbled the gravel back to the black liner stuff.  She doesn't like that. Do you think she noticed I have a snotty thing on my cheek? And here is Cato helping with the gar

SUNDAY 15th May: Auntie Jane and Foxy

Cato:  Another non-beach walk today.   Mum promises that we will get there one day, but Auntie Jane didn't know about the beach plans, and it would have taken longer... So we had a sausage cafe breakfast, with Tara whining.  Mum was NOT impressed.  It is all cos last time we were there there was a woman with a Jack Russell under the table, and the Jack got treats all the time.  And whined whenever they stopped coming!  We woz amazed!  we would NEVER have got away with that!  So this ti

SUNDAY 14th Feb: Auntie Jane Day!

Sidney:    2nd day of window open all day.  And now my foot hurts.  Pork for dinner.  And Mum says I have to stay in today to 'rest' it.  I live in a Nanny State.  But I left a pork chop bone on the top stair this morning.  I was watching through the bannisters.   She nearly trod on it in her bare feet.    Another Machiavellian plan foiled by human luck.  Humph.   Tara:     Proper walk today!  With lovely Auntee Jane. This is us waiting in the car for her to appear! I a

SUNDAY 14th August: Mohawk Day!

Tara: We went to see AuntieJane and had breakfast.  But it wozn't sausage, cos Mum fancied scrambledy eggses and a kipper.  So we had to have egg too.  Cato didn't think he liked it, so I went to eat his share too, and he suddenly decided it woz delicious.  Not fair!!! Look at Me!!!  This is my new Mohawky hairstyle.  Mum got all crabby when she woz doing my hair, but she got there in the end.  I was very good, and she gave me treats.  I am always good.  But it woz too neat and tidy, s

SUNDAY 13th Mar: Faith restored

Cato: Great walk today!!!  Mum took us back to the beach, which Tara didn't want.  She was all whiney and clingy.  But Mum said we had to get back on the bicycle - wotever that means! So we picked up Auntie Jane and went for breakfast.  Another biscuitless cafe, but Mum saved us a sausage, and cut it into pieces.  I think Tara gets bigger pieces than me.  Not sure that is fair. Auntie Jane said how weird Tara was behaving.  All nervous and squeaky, and Mum told her about Brutus an

SUNDAY 12th June: Mum's home!!!

Cato: We woz miserable without her.  We tried not to be, and we do love Dad, but it isn't the same, is it?  And we didn't know if she was OK.  It is safer in the pack, isn't it?  So yesterday, when Dad tried to take us for a walk, I didn't want to go.  And I sat down on my bottom lots and lots, and he carried me a bit, until we turned for home, and then I pulledandpulledandpulled cos I wanted to get home to see if Mum was there waiting.  And when she wasn't I had to run around and check eve

SUNDAY 11th September: Big meetup

Cato: Oooh Aunties, today we met lots and lots of friends and new friends.  The sun was out, the grass was wet, and we had a great walk.  Of course, Mum was doing her pic stuff, but we were so busy meeting and sniffing and socialising with Auntie Jane that we didn't mind the piccing at all.  It was a FabFabFab day! Most important of all, Look!  Foxy is BACK, and has been Autumn cleaning his den!  It is all sniffy again, and neat and tidy.   We didn't meet Daisy this week   b

SUNDAY 11th December: Breakfast Thief!!!

Cato: Ooooh we had a lovely walk today, Aunties.  There was Auntie Jane, and sausage, and sun, and lots of friends!  Look! These are The Westies.  We don't know their names, but there was little miss pink collar, and bouncy blue collar.  They were very nice and friendly.  Miss pink collar wanted to play, and was very waggy. All the leaves have gone now. and the mud has arrived. This is where all the knickerprickles are lurking under the leaves, so Mum does

SUNDAY 10th Apr: Town Park dramas

Tara:  So we had a lovely walk today, except for the bits that Cato ruined, cos he is a wimp. This is me.  Mum likes this photo.  And so do I.  I look all like a queen, don't I? While this is Cato looking all scruffy and manky We went to the nice park with the ducks and stuff in the middle of town, cos Mum wanted somewhere she could sit down if she wanted (she still coughs ALL NIGHT, you know), and we like chasing ducks so we said yes.  But then Cato messed it all up.
