THURSDAY 30th June: Foxy park pack stuff

Tara: Pack walk.  With Dad.  We woz showing him the way to go, as usual, cos he walks off in funny directions, sometimes, and doesn't always know the best sniffy route. This is the bottom of the Entmoot.  Cato is obsessed.  But he is never going to manage to widdle on every tree, in one go, is he? Aren't I cute?  Cuter than Cato!  Hahaha! I look like mud wouldn't melt, don't I? Ooooh look!  Mud.  Hahaha! And this is a secret sniffy door in the pa

Tara: Hello Aunties!  Cato has been telling Mum off for falling behind with the blogg dictation.  this woz our Monday walk - that is ages ago, isn't it?  Bad Mum! Cato wanted to give AuntieSophie'sHaven something to read when she has her morning coffee.  I do too!  Only I want to show you pics of ME!  Cos they are more interesting than boring word stuff. Here is a flower.  No one knows wot is is, but Mum likes it.  But then she is flower mad. Look, nice Mr Council Man ha

TUESDAY 12 June: Catching up

Cato: Mum had a busy week, on account of doing Mum stuff upstairs.  Sorting and cleaning and wardrobing and stuff.  The walks were once with Mum and three with Dad, and one day off cos of rain.  But we can't remember all the details, cos they were AGES ago now, so Mum said we could do afew blog thingies at once and catch up all in one go, so sorry if this is very long. Tara doesn't understand wot Mum means, cos she can't remember wot happened yesterday, let alone 3 days ago, so I will

SUNDAY 24th July: Flowerfest III (Town Park)

Mum:    So, we got up early and went for a walk before breakfast today.  IT STILL got too hot, but at least by that time they were worn out and going slowly. The flowers were AMAZING, and I ended up snapping so many that I need an extra blog entry so that the Mutts don't resent the floral take over: The park rose garden from a distance, doesn't look much in this shot: But the closeups tell a different story Bored and waiting for me to finish taking th

MONDAY 29th August: Bank Holiday promenade

Cato: Today is a Holiday for Banks, Mum says.  Which means she doesn't have to do computer stuff all day.  So we had a lovely Big Bed Snuggle, and a lie in.  I rumbled and groaned and asked to be let up onto the bed really early (Mum 3am!) but they didn't know how early it was (Mum: yes I did!) and so I got away with it (Mum: only cos Dad had to go to work at 6am, and I didn't want to disturb him!). Then we went to find Dad.  Because of the Holiday, and the hothothot sun, Mum took us t

Holiday: Tuesday (Lindisfarne)

Cato:  My turn today.  That is seaweed on either side of the road.  Its a causeway thing, mum says.  There was lots of water.  And splooshing.  But we got there without having to swim. This is another one of Tara's castles.  We didn't have to go round this one, though Mum and Dad did, one at a time, while we had fights and ate rabbit poo while sitting on the grass outside.  That was fun. Mum says this is the view from the top. Aren't the people diddy?

Holiday: Friday (Warkworth Castle)

Tara:   Another of my Mountain Castles today.  It was FAB!!! (Mum actually it was within a mile of the sea, but it was on a bit of a hill) I climbed ALL over it, and Cato didn't.  Haha!  This is how humungous it was - and builded all for me, like you said, Aunties. There woz even a moat! This is wot it looked like inside the gate bit.  There were school kids running about being very noisy and clumpy.  But we had to keep Mum and Dad on the lead, as usual, for safety, yo

TUESDAY 4th October: Cato doesn't like the beach

Tara: Cato is a BAD BOY! Cato is in the Dog House! Cato was naughty naughty naughty! (and no pics to show it) Mum had computer stuff, so Dad took us out for a fun sausage and beach walk.  It was ACE.  We watched him have his breakfast.  Then we went outside and had our sausage, and then we went down on the beach.  It was lovely and sunny and sandy and bouncy, and I was having a great time.  I was bouncing A LOT cos it was such fun, but I wozn't actually bouncing on Cato

WEDNESDAY 5th October: AuntieKim Dogsitter

Cato: Hello Aunties!  Today Mum and Dad had visitors.  Smelly stinky visitors to do mysterious things to the central heating.  And the gas.  And Mum says they are fitting a new boiler wotever that is. So we decided to go and visit with AuntieKimDogwalker for the day, because you know how sill Tara gets with visitors.  especially bangy visitors making their bangs upstairs where she can't fuss them and get their attention all the time. So here we are, on AuntieKim's facebook site wi

SATURDAY 8th October: Town roses. Again.

Cato: Mum says some of you have horrible stormy weather at the moment, and we are veryveryvery lucky to have sun and a park to walk in.  So we are sending you all these boring flower pics to cheer you up, if you have storms.  Mum says she can't send you actual sniffy roses, so this is the next best thing. We went to Town Park, and obviously, this is the first and deepest and bestest sniff!  You can have all the sun and flowers.  We will keep the sniffs. This one was as we wa

FRIDAY 4th November: Weird Walk

Mum: Photobucket is now back online, so have gone back through and added the pics.   Tara: We had two breakfasts and two teas and two dinners today!!!!  I have never had so many foods!  I LOVE Cato being ill !!! He had stinky fish.  And I had proper food.  But it was titchy little bits of it.  I wanted the fish too, and Cato wanted my proper stuff, but Mum wouldn't let us swap. Tomorrow we are going to have fish and pumpkin with slippery elm.  Wotever that is.

Foxy Foliage Supplemental

We went out at around 12.30 and finished by nearly 2pm, but throughout, the low sun was stunning.  The light through the trees and the light on the trees was incredible.  Not a cloud in the sky, and I even found some flowers!  lol This is one of those really blowsy cherry trees Sometimes the colours seem unreal, but I can assure you, I haven't touched these photos up at all (although I have cropped a couple). The next photo is a close up of the m

Tue 15th Mar: Beachy sniffs

Tara: We went to the sausage place and had Cato's gluten free sausages.  Yum!  and then we went on the beach!!!  Mum says we have to make the most of the beach now, cos when the Easter Bunny appears, we have to leave the beach all the Hot Time, and only get it back in the Cold Time. This is first sniff.  of course. Those people are farfarfar out.  Mum won't let us go that far out.  But it isn't very sniffy out there. Look!  They mended my mountain ramp.  And my clim

WEDNESDAY 21st December: Bye bye old car

Come on Aunties!  Follow me!! We had a walk yesterday, but it was after Mum finished work, so it was too dark for pics.  Today was dark and grey too, but it was dry and not too cold, so we didn't need our jumpers. I decided that this little pink girl was a bit wobbly, so I followed her for a while to make sure she was OK.  She was. This is Mum pointing the pic at the sun - see the watery white light through the branches?  It was very wimpy, wasn't it?  Tara used to

FRIDAY 23rd December: Xmas Sausages

Aunties, come and see!  It was an ACE walk! First we visited the Sausage Place with Mum and Dad. Did you see all the dangly bobbles on the cealing?  That is all to do with SantaPaws coming to visit, Mum says. Then we went on the beach and had my special Gluten Free Sausages The sea was there, but it hadn't eaten all the beach yet, but it was terrible windy. AuntieMarlene, LOOK!  I did a special Air Widdle especially for you!  Tara is just jealous.

THURSDAY 29th December: Swan Day

Tara:  Fab walk!  except for the nasty humpy dog, and the hissy swans, and the crispy mud.  But the rest woz FAB!!! This is how icy it woz.  That white stuff is crispy water, and it is VERY slippy.  Mum and Dad were waddling like ducks!  Haha Then these two GIANT paws came charging up!  I hid behind Mum, cos they were scary.  They rushed up to Cato - and do you know wot he did? He woz as cool as a cucumber, Mum says.  He went over to this tree thing, and he did a wee!  W

Sun 21st Jan: Foxy ramble

Cato: This was my first walk after my tummy.  Mum said we would take it gently, and stop if I felt wobbly, and she would carry me if I got tired. Only Tara didn't listen.  Tara never listens.  And she bounced and bounced and bounced!  In the end Mum shouted at her and did Calming Signal stuff, and it was OK.  I didn't really mind.  It is just that she never knows when to stop, does she? That is Sheba The Third.  We haven't seen her for AGES.  Sheba's Dad keeps her on the lead all

Sun 9th April: Foxy and AuntieJane

Tara: Mum did me pigtails today.  I look supercool and Ninjaey.  And Mum says that me and Lacey are going to skool at St Trinians. This is me before I Ninjaed. And this is me after. It woz a bit hot.  Mum says we are having our winter coats off, so I can be cool.  I think she means less panty, cos I am always cool, aren't I? I got some little matts in my armpit yesterday.  Ow!  Mum said I was too delicate a pwincess to have them brushed out, so she got the skis

Sun 14th May: Foxy with AuntieJane

Cato: It was hothothot so we only went round once, then Mum and AuntieJane had a good sit on a bench, and then we came home.   If you aren't interested in plant stuff, then this will be a really boring blog.  Cos Mum and AuntieJane just wanted to pic flowers n stuff.   This is first proper sniff.  Lots of paws come into the park by that path, so they like widdling here.  It is always lovely and sniffy. Elderflower sprouty stuff new growth on the pine

Wed 24th May: Promendadoing

Cato: We all went for a pack walk, to the French Place so Mum could have a hot choc thing.  But it was closed! So we had to go for a proper sniffy walk instead.  I like it when the French Place is closed. Mum says you should see how brown the water is.  That is cos of the rain, apparently.   I wanted to go on the beach, but Mum said no.  Cos of The Rules, and us not beaching til it gets cold again. My tail looks good, doesn't it? It was a bit grey and Mum

Bad Mum

Cato: Aunties I'm sorry.  You know how I like Mum to write wot I say so that you can see my tail, and see how silly Tara is, and see our adventures?  Well Mum has been doing so much stuff that she hasn't been taking dictation! There was the office chair Thing, where Dad's chair broke, and Mum's chair went to live with Dad, and Mum now sits on the grooming stool, which is hard, and her bum hurted until she got a cushion.  And that meant she didn't like sitting at the desk for dictation.

Spa Day Worries

Cato: Aunties i am worried. i heard Mum and Dad talking about it.  They said the we are due those horrible stinky flea drops and then they said they would wait til after our Spa Day!  Not today.  And not when we wake up. But the one after that. isn't that AWFUL? there will be Mum going away.  And horrible wet stuff bath stinky bubbles.  And hot blowy noisy air stuff.  And those horrible buzzy bitey clippy things. Tara doen't know.  Cos she was chewing a pigs ea

Rude Word

Tara: you know how clever I am?  I mean I am clever all the time.  But i am extra specially clever climbing stairs.  And this morning Mum helped me down off the Big Bed and we went downstairs for out widdles.  Of course Cato has to be carried down cos he isn't stair-clever. so then we came in again and boring Cato just got into his crate bed to sleep.  He sleeps all morning if you let him.  And Mum did her boring drink making and computer sitting.  Yawn! but - remember i am so cle

Bestest snowy winter EVER!!!

Mum:  Just a v quick note before we begin, pointing out that Tara is 3yrs old, and has seen 3 whole winters.  So her idea of 'best EVER!' isn't v extensive...   Tara: Hello Aunties! It is all rainywetsoggy outside to today, so we went with Mum and Dad to the pub and had steak bits and 100%burgerbits, but it is too cold and horrible for a walk, Mum says.  So instead, I have to get to tell you all about our blizzards, and snowy drifts and exciting Wild Artic Weather wot we have

Cato’s back issues

Mum: Well, today has been a revelation! We had our Chiropractic Appt this evening, then the whole Pack repaired to a nearby pub to discuss the outcome, before the long (60 mile) drive home... Firstly, the Chiropractor (who is lovely, gentle, and obviously loves dogs) diagnosed Cato has hypermobile joints (stance, flexibility and overextension of joints).  Interestingly, I have hypermobile joints too.  So I know EXACTLY what it is like, the management, and the ongoing problems that
