THURSDAY 18th Feb: Beach at half term

Tara: Whheeeeee!!!! After being boooorrrrreeeeeeeddddddd all day yesterday, we had a lovely beach walk today. See my sandy beard? and the deep and mysterious hole wot someone else dug but I am investigating? Did you see all the millions and millions and millions of people over Dad's shoulder?  It is because all the children are off school and trespassing on our beach So we have to behave. And fight! -  which got the sand off my moustache very nicely

WEDNESDAY 20th Apr: Donkeys!

Cato: This is that first, all important sniff-widdle.  It was lovely. Boring white stuff and then we saw the Donkeys.  It was very exciting.  There were so many of them! This is me having a foray on the Donkey Side.  I slipped through the fence and started to go to see them, but I got distracted by some delicious Donkey Poo, and then I sort of realised how close I was to them, and turned round to find Mum, and she had disappeared!!!  So I executed a controlled

THURSDAY 30th June: Foxy park pack stuff

Tara: Pack walk.  With Dad.  We woz showing him the way to go, as usual, cos he walks off in funny directions, sometimes, and doesn't always know the best sniffy route. This is the bottom of the Entmoot.  Cato is obsessed.  But he is never going to manage to widdle on every tree, in one go, is he? Aren't I cute?  Cuter than Cato!  Hahaha! I look like mud wouldn't melt, don't I? Ooooh look!  Mud.  Hahaha! And this is a secret sniffy door in the pa

TUESDAY 10th May: Too soggy

Cato:  Mum says it is too soggy for a walk today.   And Tara is being unbearable.  She was so bouncy that I wouldn't go to Dad to collect my Calcium Bone treat, so I didn't get one.  She had one though. Then Mum gave me mine when she wasn't around, but I made the mistake of going to my Treat Place in the front room, and she saw me.  If Dad hadn't been there, she would have stolen it. Anyway, Mum says since there is no walk, and no pics today, cos everything is soggy - except us, and we

SATURDAY 3rd September: Beachy clamberings

Cato: Pack walk!  It was ACE!!!  And not too hot.  All grey and overcast, and it started to rain just at the end, which was nice and cool.   We had a consult and decided that we needed some beach after no proper walks for DAYS, and with the Mad Joggers taking over The Big Lake Park every Saturday morning, it had to be the Dune Beach.  Yay!!! This is us setting off. Just to the right is a BIGBIGBIG hedge of roses, with convolvulus growing through it, and hips and flowers

Holiday 3: Cotehele gardens and quay

Tara: My turn!  I can tell you lotsandlots about our adventures and sniffs and EVERYTHING. We went to this Cotehele place by boring car, with Mum and Dad squeaking about SatNav stuff.  Yawn.  But it was fun when we got there! There was some sign up saying we had to keep them on leads in the Formal Gardens or something.  But as soon as we got out of sight of everyone we let them off the lead.  I figured Dad couldn't get lost if I woz with him, so he would be safe. This w

Walk stuff

Tara: My turn!  Cato has been hogging the blogging lately, so I get to tell you all how awesome I am.  And wot fun we had.  and stuff like that.  And there are more skypics for AuntieCrystal too. This bloggification is about 2 different walks, cos that is how clever I am!  I can do two walks at once! This is when we went the Big Lake Park, and Mum accidentally picced all the wrong things.  She picced birds and flowers and Cato and all the boring stuff.  But there isn't a single pi

No walkies

Mum: Hi All, Things have been a bit different the last few days.  Dad has a stinking cold, which I am trying not to catch.  It has been raining on and off.  I have twanged my Achilles tendon a bit - it has been hurting for a week so a bit of rest seems a good idea.  The mutts haven't had a walk in daysanddaysanddays (to quote them). The rest seems to be doing my tendon a power of good, which is great.  Dad isn't getting any better (we are hoping we will see a light at the end of t

SATURDAY 15th October: Birdwalk.

Cato:   Dad had to go to work, so Mum and us went for a walk.  We all wanted to try somewhere new and exciting, so Mum did GoogleFu and found us an interesting BirdReserve thing, which we all thought looked really interesting.  Only it wasn't.  Don't tell Mum, but me and Tara were a bit bored.  Hopefully Mum won't take us there again. IT was supposed to be all sniffy and full of interesting birds and paths and sucky sand, and stuff.  But when we got there all the interesting bits had 'Keep

TUESDAY 23rd Feb: Holiday Adventure

Sidney: off to prison  have my bed, my carrier, my catnip mouse, and i haven't had ANY breakfast.  But i had a good sleep last night.  I pushed Mum closer and closer to the edge, all night, til she woke up almost falling out.  Bet she misses that tonight!    Cato:   Long car journey.  We stopped once for widdling.  Lots and lots of strange dog sniffs and the grass was shoulder high, so lots of bouncing.  We also stopped in a car park and Dad went food shopping and Mum stayed with us.

Holiday 6: Looe and Polperro

Tara: My turn!  I wore my Rainbow Bows again today, cos Mum says I am a dippy hippy rainbow child.  Can you get rainbow Ninja?  I like that idea. So today Mum draggled us all the way to somewhere called Looe.  She spend lots of holidays in Looe when she woz a pup, cos her Grandpa's family come from Looe. This is where we parked.  It is called the Millpool carpark, and Mum knew the tricksy shortcuts to get to the interesting sniffy bits. This is the sea.  Paws aren't all

SUNDAY 26th June: We're home!!!

Cato: Hello Aunties!  We are home!  It was great (except the horrible car which went on for ever and ever and I hated). This is Our Grandad Garden.  Isn't it lovely? There were jackdaws and rabbits and even foxy sniffs through the hedge.  And birds and bird feeders and fallen bird food and a birdbath to drink out of. Mum took lots of flower pics.  But I don't mind telling you about them, cos you can just imagine how fab it was, if the flowers were good, imagine the

Oooh look.  That is me and Dad.  and the pier.  and some clouds.  we must have been on the beach. and that is me running.  doen't I look fab in my PINK jumper.  All slim and athletical.  And running.  Towards that lump of wood.  I look good, don't I?  I wonder if I was going to climb on it...? Oh!  I REMEMER!!!

Wed 15th Feb: Big Lake Skies

Cato: Hello Aunties!  We had a great walk today.  All green and sniffy and muddy.  Much better than boring street walks and after dark walks. This is Tara going Hunting.  She messed it up.  It was all wet and soggy, and she wasn't expecting it.  Also, she thought I was right behind her, and I wasn't.  I was sniffing the ditch wall, back near the carpark, and she got a bit scared cos she doesn't like solo Hunting.  I prefer it, cos then no one else mucks it up.  Anyway, she didn't get h

THURSDAY 25th Feb: Bestest walk EVER!!!

Tara: looks like its just ME blogging tonight, cos Cato is fast asleep.  He is so worn out he has been snoring since we got home, and he didn't even want his tea!  Anyway, i am so good at blogging, i will do it all, and you will like my walk as much as me, cos it was the best ever ever ever. we had turkey mince and egg for breakfast, and then set off.  No car.  Just out of gate and off down track, going to this huge great Stoodley Pike place up the hill.  Mum has pics. it was cold

FRIDAY 17th June: Green and cool

Cato: Ooooh, we had a LOVELY walk today.  The whole pack together.  Big Lake Park.  And it was lovely and cool, so I bounced and bounced and didn't flop AT ALL. (Mum: thermometer says 14-16 degrees, which is around 60 degrees F) Mum says she has been wondering if I woz ill or something, cos I haven't been very active, but now she thinks it is just the heat.  I don't like it when it gets over 20ish (70ish degrees F) Look wot I saw: Donkeys! And look wot Tara ate!

TUESDAY 9th Feb: Fight! and Cemetery

Tara: Twice round the dog field today!  And through the cemetery.  And down the slippy leaf road! And we had that horrible forked lead thing on, which EVERYBODY hates, but Mum says is good to teach me manners.  Don't know what manners are, but I HATE them.  Lots of pics of me having fun, and Cato getting squished.  So it is all good. And Mum says that since I chewed the last wooden brush handle, I am not allowed another.  Not fair!  I only chewed it cos I LOVE it so much, and it w

My antenner

Tara: Hello Aunties! We had a FAB walk yesterday.  We only went out to do an Autumn Photo Shoot for me, so I can be a Supermodel again, and look fab.  Mum did my hair up in a new style and everything. Cato larffed at me and said that Carrera rocks this look much better than me.  But he is just jealous.  Cato I mean, not Carrera.   Can you see my hair? This is when we were catching up with Mum.  Cato was doing a silly walk at the time, and worrying Mum in case his w

THURSDAY 16th June: PingPongPark Rumble!

OK (says Mum) think we have to do this one a bit differently, since they can't agree who won The War.  So I will speak first, setting the scene, as it were, and then they will each get a turn to comment on each picture.   But before we start, I want to reassure you that no Shih Tzus were harmed in the making of this Epic, and they have both spent a lovely afternoon snuggled up with Dad on the sofa, watching the England v Wales footie match.  So Peace was restored. Since the weather was

Tue 21st Mar: Burger and Church (Skipton cont...)

Cato: So when we left the castle, we went down the street past the church that is being used nowadays, and we found a fab pub! We all had burger!  and Dad had beer and Mum and me and Tara had water.  Mum wanted not-water, but someone has to drive home.  I wouldn't mind driving, but it is nice to snooze in the back after a lot of castling and pubbing, isn't it? Anyway, we stayed in the pub with Mum, while Dad went churching, and museuming, and then we stayed in the pub with him, wh

Sun 23rd Apr: More pink stuff and lots of friends

Cato: I have to bloggify.  We (Mum and me) just showed the pics to Tara, and she can't remember anything about this day, except that she got to squeak at William again.  She is completely dooolally over William.  That is a Mum word.  It means silly. It was very bright and sunny and green.  And there were lots of fried egg plants poking up through the grass. I would have preferred a real fried egg.   This is Tara doing her sniff thing. This is me

Holiday 1: getting there

Cato: Hello Aunties.  Where have you been?!?!?  Mum says you all disappeared, and the blogg and all the stuff on the screen, and we had no one to tell all about our fab hol!!! But it is OK now, cos you are back. We had a great hol.  It was in somewhere called Cornwall, which is very green and has lots of mountains for Tara, and stuff like that.  We stayed in a very very very old place.  So old it is older than ANYTHING.  And I didn't like the stairs, but that was OK cos Mum carrie

THURSDAY 4th Feb: Greenwich Mean Time

Mum: Just got time to write yesterdays blog before we set off on todays Train Adventure.  Probably won't post the next one til we get back, unless the wifi at the hotel is MUCH better than expected.  We are leaving an incredibly grumpy Sidney, who has been following me round all morning screeching to have his window open.  But we are bribing him by leaving a bowl of tinned catfood in jelly, some crunchy biscuits AND an entire skinless chicken thigh.  Hopeflly he will have calmed down by tom

Holiday: Tuesday (Lindisfarne)

Cato:  My turn today.  That is seaweed on either side of the road.  Its a causeway thing, mum says.  There was lots of water.  And splooshing.  But we got there without having to swim. This is another one of Tara's castles.  We didn't have to go round this one, though Mum and Dad did, one at a time, while we had fights and ate rabbit poo while sitting on the grass outside.  That was fun. Mum says this is the view from the top. Aren't the people diddy?
