SATURDAY 30 July: Tunneling Adventure

Cato: So Mum remembered the Tunnel, wot AuntieCrystal wanted to see.  And we wanted to see it too.  So Mum and Dad came with us to the big park with the lake, and we went and found the Tunnel entrance.  It was quite difficult, cos it was so overgrown, but I found it - see? Follow me! It was very cool and sniffy and damp.  Dad said there would be mud. and there woz!!!     this bit was fun.  We had a fight. it woz a very looooon

MONDAY 8th August: Donkeys, kites and tunnelling

Cato:  We were at the Big Lake again today, and did the tunnel.  Mud said it might be the least muddy EVER after all the sun, and she woz right! It looks like mud, but really it is just hard dry earthy stuff now.  A bit disappointing, really.  Dad didn't wobble and slide at all! We had a good fight half way along the tunnel.  Tara picked the same spot for a rumble last time, too. Can you see Dad?  he woz slinking off into the shadows, showing Tara some ninja techniq

THURSDAY 4th August: Wild Woodses

Cato:  We went to the woods today.  It was soooooo lovely and cool and green and sniffy. and these soldier people stayed here ages and ages ago.   http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-humber-15491945 Mum doesn't let us go to these woods very often, cos before I was born there were some dog attacks (Mum: staffordshire bullterriers, I think) and some little dogs like me got splatted.  It was very sad.  But that hasn't happened for ages, and it is the skool holidays and lot

SUNDAY 7th August: Auntie Jane and Buddlea

Cato: Hot hot hot.  But the sausage breakfast woz nice.  And seeing Auntie Jane woz nice too. Foxy park woz very still and hot and sunny, and even Tara didn't bounce ALL that much. although she did a bit.  mainly in the shade! This is my EntMoot snoozing in the sun. and these are the knickerprickle grasses wot Mum uses treats to keep us out of.       Tara: This is me squishing Cato.  He was a bit floppy by this time.  He

SATURDAY 6th August: Another scorcher

Too hot to walk again, I am afraid. So I went outside, while the mutts were snoozing, and took these.  As you can see, the snails got to the hosta in the end, and the ferns have done beautifully and are self seeding in the concrete cracks :).  And there are no more monsters down the side passage.  I intended to scrape out all the moss, but the more I look at it, the more I like it.  It makes the passage greener and less harshly concrete, doesn't it?  More natural.  I

FRIDAY 5th August: Work visit

Cato:  So Mum was a naughty Mum last week.  She went to this work thing.  Training.  But without the training treats, apparently.  And they lent her a set of headphones, and she (Bad Mum) forgot to return them at the end of the day.  So she had to take them back, and we went with her! It was fun!  We got to go in the car, and walk into the office place, and go through the security card thing, and climb stairs, and surprise everyone.  Tara got really over excited and tried to beat me up in f

TUESDAY 28th June: Haha! I fell in the Lake!!!

Tara: I can swim!! I fell in the lake!!! It was ACE!!!  And I shook and shook and shook and bounced and bounced and bounced.  Cato didn't fall in.  I am much better swimmer than Cato.  And my sprouts enjoyed the swim too! Look.  this is where I fell jumped dived in!  Look! We were both standing on the rocky bits at the edge of the water, and I was being cute and interesting, and Cato was being thirsty.  And then he pushed me!  Or maybe my foots slipped.  Or maybe I did a swan

SUNDAY 31st July: Seafront promenade florals

Cato:  Sausage breakfast, then a really boring walk along the seafront.  We have to wait til the end of September before we get the beach back  so we walked by the stinky flowers, wot Mum had to photo for you.  Yawn, and then back along the path bit.   It woz a bit hot, and I got thirsty.  Sausage makes you thirsty anyway, doesn't it?  And Tara climbed on everything, of course.   Mum:  Today was a completely different routine.  There was a charity fun run (10k) so lots of roads we

TUESDAY 2nd August: Lake with Dad

Cato: Mum had lots of work stuff today, and Dad woz off work, so we took him to the big park.  It was fab and sniffy, and we showed him the donkeys and everything.   The donkeys were a long way away today.  We couldn't eat their poo unfortunately.   Tara kept trying to show off for the camera, but he didn't take many photos.   And he wandered off a bit, too.  We had to keep an eye on him.     Tara: I had to keep telling Dad to catc

FRIDAY 29 July: Catflap Dramas

Tara: I hate it.  It is scary.  I hate it. Mum lets me out through the door sometimes (Mum: first thing in morning, and last thing at night) and then she makes me use IT the rest of the time. Yesterday was HORRIBLE.  She made me sit outside the catflap looking in all morning (Mum: 20 mins) and tortured me with treats (Mum: a calcium bone treat on the floor 2 feet inside the catflap), and it was raining! (Mum: the catflap is positioned under the roof overhang, and did not get wet).

TUESDAY 26th July: Too many people!

Cato: IT woz nice and cool all the morning, so we went out for a walk, and then it got HOT, so we didn't mind all the pics, cos it meant we could have a sit down! Tara still managed to bounce though. This is me busy on busyness The park was EVER SO FULL of people.   I like meeting people, but there are some dangerous drivers!  Mainly little boys on little bikes.  Girls too.  They look and look and look and don't stop pedalling, and it is like they can only stee

TUESDAY 5th July: Surprise!

Cato: We had a FAB day!  It was going to be all wet and boring, but then Dad decided to visit Pops and Mam, which is GREAT, cos we went too, and had treats and fussing and fights on their hearth rug.  It was fun until it wasn't.  Why does Tara always go too far?  And then I mountaineered up Dad's leg to get away from her, and Dad helped to pull my tail out of her mouth, and then it was nice again. After that we went to Town Park, and Dad didn't do any boring flower stuff.  So that was

WEDNESDAY 6th July: Field and cemetery

Tara: Mum forgot to do my hair today!  Hahaha!  She said I looked like a hooligan.  And Dad says I look like Einstein.  Whoever that is. I think I look like a PIRATE, cos my hair covers my eye like an eyepatch.  But can you tell Mum to do my hair properly tomorrow?  I like my sprouts. We walked with Dad after Mum's boring work finished, but it was still hot.  Cato wimped out.  And he went on strike in the cemetery AGAIN. See? Did you see him?  He is that tiny d

Tara: Yesterday it was nice and cool and windy, so wimpy Cato didn't stop us from walking.  Yay! This is me and Dad under the big trees.  Where the daffys used to be.  Lots of sniff! Me and nettles.  Mum said not to sniff them.  so I did.  But then she said they were too young to stingify.  so now I need to sniff them again, when they are bigger. Me, Dad and Cato.  Cato lagging behind.  Of course. He is so slllllloooooooooowwwwwwww! This is Cato being

Cato: We went to see AuntieLesley and she bathed us  and gave us liver treats  and said how silly Tara is     We do look nice.  Mum says she may get some pics later, only we are very sleepy now.  Tara is snoring, so she may not bloggify today.  Her sprout is getting sproutier.  And we are nice and cool again now. We also went to Mrs Vets house and Mum paid for my blood stuff, and got a printout.  Wotever that is. My blood was all OK, said Mrs Vet, and Mum has looked it up on

SUNDAY10th July: Foxy Auntie Jane

Tara: We had MacDonalds burger!  It was YUM!  We were going to have sausages, but then it rained, and Mum said we would have to sit in the car and eat and wait to see if it stopped raining.  I said I didn't mind the rain, but nobody ever listens to me.  But the burger was LUSH.  Although I didn't get much, and I was starving. Then we went to Foxy Park and I splatted Cato.  It was ACE!!!  Burgers make me even more Ninja.  So I should have them every day, shouldn't I, Aunties? I had

SUNDAY 3rd June: How things change

Mum: No walk today.  Out with Auntie Jane for breakfast, as usual, but when we returned to the car, we had a flat tyre. I pumped it up, dropped her home and then came home myself.  If we are going to fight with the spare and organise a puncture repair, I would much rather be doing it from home than stuck in some park car park!   Anyway, the Hounds are sleeping off their sausage, and harumphing cos they were deprived a walk - can't do it now.  Too hot on the pavements and then

SUNDAY 26th June: We're home!!!

Cato: Hello Aunties!  We are home!  It was great (except the horrible car which went on for ever and ever and I hated). This is Our Grandad Garden.  Isn't it lovely? There were jackdaws and rabbits and even foxy sniffs through the hedge.  And birds and bird feeders and fallen bird food and a birdbath to drink out of. Mum took lots of flower pics.  But I don't mind telling you about them, cos you can just imagine how fab it was, if the flowers were good, imagine the

Tara: No boring work for Mum today, so we had a SausageCafe breakfast then a walk on the beach to the funny black ball thing. This is Cato being taller than me!  Not fair!!!  Can you see me?  I am trying to climb the wall, cos he cheated by going up the steps!  PAh! Mum says she was trying to pic into the sun, so it looks weird. and this is piccing with the sun behind her.  I was trying to see if there were any crumbs. Mum says this is the little railway's

WEDNESDAY 22nd June: We got our walk!

Tara: Sniffs and romps and big dogs and Mum photographed my tummy, and EVERYTHING!!! Soooooo much better than being trapped in the house.  They won't even let me go outside and bark!  Spoilsports!  Mum gets in the splashy ppol and before she does she puts my lead on and ties me to the table leg!!!! Its cruel!  It is Tara Abuse!!!  IT is TERRIBLE!!!  All I wanted to do was go outside and bark at the monsters in the alley.  And the birds.  And Mrs Nextdoor with her washing.  And the Cycl

I am very good at sleeping, but even I am getting bored with it.  And Tara is unbearable.  The next time she wants to chew on my ear I may get a bit cross.  She is lying on her back on the living room floor, and I am lying on the sofa n

Tara: We went out to do the Referendummy Votey Thing, and we had to sit outside while first Mum then Dad went and DID IT. That woz boring. And then we went to the Stinky Coffee Place where they don't serve dog biscuits.  But there aren't any pictures cos Mum forgot her phone AND her camera!  Bad Mum!  Hahahaha! But we got a treat each for sitting quietly under the table.  And when there were no more treats I beat Cato up, until Mum was a meanie and shortened the leads. B

Another flowery supplemental

More of this blue stuff - still don't know what it is, but bees LOVE it! I have been walking past this sign for a couple of years, and today I actually read it!  Hahahaha!  Turns out it lists the rose varieties by name.             The scents are exquisite, especially when the sun comes out...
