MONDAY 4th Apr: RAIN RAIN RAIN

Tara: No walk!!!! No pics. No fun. Nothing but boring snoozing on our beds. Mum didn't even stop working for lunch. We had to wait until Dad came home from work at 2pm before we got a single game!  But he sat on the front room floor and wrestled with the python, and we helped.  A lot.  And when he got tired we took over, and wrestled with each other.  And then we wrestled the panda and the brown bear.  The brown bear is particularly dangerous and we had to kill it over and over an

Oscar came to visit me

Pip: I was sitting on moms lap for a well deserved nap when there was knocking at my front door. Woof Woof Woof! Abby and I was sure it was a intruder and we barked like crazy. Dad let the intruders in and guess what? It was my favorite Uncle and OSCAR!  I love Oscar so much and mom and dad are always calling his name to get a reaction out of me because my ears slways perk up and I look around....but this time There he was! I was so excited and my tail was going ninety miles a hou

It's winter again.

Yesterday it was 70 degrees outside and all the dogs enjoyed going out on the deck to enjoy the weather.  Today it's 30...for a high.  The fun never ends. Jack:  Mom and Dad let all us big dogs stay out in the kitchen all night.  With teamwork, we managed to make a break for it around 8:30 a.m.  I am now snoozing on the bed with Dad, so leave me alone. Gus:  Yep, we got to stay out all night!  Mom herded us back to the kitchen with promises of cookies, but I don't see Jack, Drake and K

SUNDAY 3rd Apr: Sunday sunshine and flowers

Cato: Auntie Jane for breakfast in the sausage cafe!  Yay!  Then stinky bum fox park.  They spent AGES talking about work stuff.  Yawn.  Thought the walk was NEVER going to happen.  But we got there in the end, and the sun had come out. The bicycle man was there, in his flourourourorescent jacket, cycling round and round and nearly wobbling over onto us every time.  And Fat Bruno was there.  Except he has been on a diet and is now nearly Slim Bruno.  Tara lay down for him. More ca

Monkey: What grinds my gears.

Hi, Monkey here. You know what grinds my gears? When you're having the most wonderful dream like almost have the evil cat's tail in your mouth and then something grabs your tail and the cat has once again escaped your clutches. You try to break free but you can't. You look back at your tail and a huge butt has pinned it down. You wake up and realize it's not a dream and your lovely tail has indeed gotten caught under someone's butt *cough* mom *cough* again and you can't move away so lie there g

SATURDAY 2nd Apr: 1st gardening of the year

Tara:  Mum went out this morning and left us the run of the house!  Normally she would put us in our crates, with chews and stuff, and we would go to sleep, but this was an experiment.  She says.  Wot is an experiment? So we were in charge.  For ages.  Then when she came home she told us she had been to the human groomer, and had less head fur.  But humans all look the same to me, so I just bounced cos I was glad she woz home and could give us some breakfast!   Cato:  We did

FRIDAY 1st Apr: It was awful!

Tara: Oh Aunties, it was AWFUL!!!  Cato is so mean and horrible.  Mum lets us bounce on the big bed before she puts us into our horrible pen.  This happens every night now, and we love it.  And I know I have my own little bed room and everything, but the Big Bed is sooooo much nicer, and I can love my Dad properly up there. Anyway, last night, we bounced, and I bounced and bounced on Cato who just lay there, and was boring.  Still tired after our walk.  Cos he is a wimp.  Then Mum grab

THURSDAY 31st Mar: 2 hour pack walk

Bit fraught this morning!  turned the alarm off in my sleep, overslept and had to be up, washed, dressed, prepped and out of the house in 20 mins to get the dogs to Aunty Kim Dogsitter in time... but it looks like they had an interesting pack walk! https://www.facebook.com/Kims-Canines-1626201260985937/?fref=photo Taras tail is down in all the pics, while Cato's is up and plume like.  But Tara doesn't look stressed, and is obviously not skirting the pack hiding behind humans, so she is

Secret weapon

Bath day today...  I purchased some secret weapon and hypknotic after seeing Crystals review. I knew it contained coconut oil and was very dubious about trying it because of Donte. So while on Easter hols and after speaking to a lovely lady at secret weapon and Crystal, I thought I'd give it ago.  And OMG... I'm amazed and how with a little brushing the knots slid out... Although Donte looks fluffy as he's got a different type of coat compared to Laceys. But his is even fluffier and so

WEDNESDAY 30th Mar: Ace Foxy walk!

Tara: So, we had a fab walk today at Foxy Park!  This is me and Dad and this is me splatting Cato over in the wilderness area (see my cunning tail grab manooover?) And this is him pathetically trying to chase me, in a really wimpish feeble way Ooops!  So, er, actually this this him catching me.  But only cos I let him! So then I had to get my revenge in the car park bit where Mum shouts at us if we fight - in case we get run over And this is wh

TUESDAY 29th Mar: Big Bed issues

Sorry - Photobucket seems to be playing up, like it did for @Summerangel yesterday.  Hopefully the links to the pics work, even though I don't seem to be able to embed them.   Mum:   Not unexpectedly, Little Miss Sunshine has decided that the Big Bed is far too convenient to pass up.  I had to put her down into the pen 3 x last night before she actually stayed there - she just ghosted up each time, waiting til I closed my eyes, then silently appearing.  Her little brain cells have obvi

The rain stopped and we went out to play

The rain did stop the sun came out and Mum and Dad said we could go for a ride in the car and go for a walk...  It's a 25 minute car journey and Lacey hasn't been sick in ages... So We are really proud of her.  Cato and Tara, you would be so proud of us... There was really deep puddles and Mum and Dad let us off the lead and we both ran down the centre of the track and right through the deep puddles.. By the time Mum had got phone out of her pocket to take the picture we were at the en

MONDAY 28 Mar: No Walk Day :(

Tara:   It is raining really hard!  And blowing!  And I didn't like going outside for my wee this morning.  My knickers got damp and I RAN back inside.  If I wan't such a Good Girl, I would pee on the mat just inside the cat flap.  But I am good.  So I won't.  Unless it gets colder and wetter and horribler.  So no walk today.   But on no walk days Mum usually gets down on the floor and wrestles with us for ages, and I can always beat Cato up, to relieve the BOREDOM!!!   Cato:  Mum

A Sunday treat

Hello everyone,  Donte, Lacey has still got a poorly under her chin and she has to wear "the comfy cone".. Makes a change from me, that's all I can say ? Mummy keeps bathing it and putting her special gel on it...  Fingers crossed, I'm still doing ok. Mummy hasn't bathed me in a while, we think it's at least 6 weeks now. She said she was trying this to see if my natural oils helped with my skin... But she did say today that I would get to have a bath this week, 6 weeks is long enough..

SUNDAY 27th Mar: Easter Bunny hops

Tara: Aunty Jane and Mum were telling us about The Easter Bunny.  So we looked and looked and looked on our walk in Foxy Park today.  But we didn't find him.  And we didn't find his eggs, either.  So I practiced my Bunny Hops and Bench Hops and Spring Bulb Trampling as much as I could, just in case we see him later and he wants to play.  Practice makes perfect, Mum says. Oh, and I LIKE the new bed!  I get a bedroom all to myself, and there were toys and chews and everything all r

SATURDAY 26th Mar: Big changes, better beds!

Tara:   i felt fine yesterday!  Don't know wot the fuss woz about.  But Cato was all sleepy and (Mum says I'm to use different words cos 'boring' is boring, but he WAS!) didn't want to play.  We went out for a quick walk, but then he went back to sleep again!  It isn't as much fun stomping on pythons and bears and stuff.  They don't fight back. Today was much better, although Mum has been upstairs a LOT. We went down lots of roads on our walk, and i had Dad on the lead, and Cato h

Beagle mayhem

We're in the midst of our house move. I had noticed (vaguely) that the neighbor behind us and up the hill has a pack of beagles kept in a pen (which makes me sad, but OTOH it's the norm for hunting dogs). We finally got the house all cleaned and scrubbed, new flooring installed in bathrooms and laundry room and the carpet in the rest of the house cleaned.  So late yesterday afternoon I decided it was time for Yogi to visit his soon-to-be-new-home for the first time. And the beagle

THURSDAY 24th Mar: Skipping to Dogsitter

Mum: Since this is their second vist, both Dad and I were very interested to see whether they wanted to go, or not. I start work at 7.30am usually (homeworking on computer) so Dad dragged himself up to get them there first thing.  They took wee packed breakfasts and their leads.  She still had their treats from last time. Apparently, he parked outside the house, put the leads on, and got them out of the car.  At which point they dragged him to the house, up the driveway, and sat o

WEDNESDAY 23rd Mar: Bye bye beach

Cato: Mum said we HAD to go and say goodbye to the beach today, cos on Friday it belongs to holiday makers and dogs are not allowed. We can still go on the other beaches, and on the salt marshes, but not to the nice beach with the pier. So we walked all the way and then had a sad goodbye breakfast.  The sausage didn't taste sad, but it was sad when it was over.  See how my bits are smaller than Tara's bits?  Not Fair!!! Mum says she will have a word with Aunty Jane abou

Light at the end of the tunnel!

The DH was cleared yesterday to start PT today, and they think he should be able to walk normally without the boot in a month or so...which means that soon he can get back to work and out of my hair!!! Everyone has been busy! Jack:  Mom got me a new beef knucklebone yesterday, and Katy keeps stealing it from me.  Then she jumps up on a chair with it and drops it on the floor and I snatch it back.  Once she tried to "hide" it by taking it o

TUESDAY 22nd Mar: No camera day!

Tara: Mum forgot her camera on our walk today! Hahahahaha!  Bad Mum!  We had a fab time, but you can't see any of it, cos she FORGOT.  So you can't see Bailey the Big White Bouncy Boxer that I had to hide from on a bench.  Or the swans.  Or Bertie the JackRussell/Chihuahua/Pug who played with us.  And I played with HIM.  And you can't see how dirty Cato got cos I bounced on him in some really soggy muddy grass.  Mum was not happy.  Hahahahaha!   Cato: So Mum says that if

MONDAY 21st Mar: Foxy park daffys

Cato:   Foxy park today!  Mum keeps taking us there hoping for this big cherry blossom thing, but really, it ain't that special.  And it is too high to reach to sniff! it was nice and sunny though.  And the daffys are out.  We always sniff them, cos they smell interesting. see how i am trampling the yellow bit?  Brings out the sniffiness. Mum also took photos of little purple things.  But the most interesting bit was the Foxy Hole.  Mr Foxy is definitely liv
