Our visitor

Cato: Hello Aunties!  We had an exciting visitor today! We was walking over to see Auntie Jane this morning,  when this strange scruffy paw came over to say hello. He looked like he hadn’t had a b*th or a brush in AGES!  He was wandering about the street without having a human on a lead!  He was waggy and sniffy.  And his tail woz nice and friendly. Mum said he looked like he needed some help.  So she took my lead off, and put it on him, and he and Tara walked the rest of th

Our holiday den

Cato: Hello Aunties.  Sorry I haven't been blogging much.    It is cos of my tail.   It isn't right.    It is like a puppy tail.  And I am not a puppy, am I?  I am an Important Person in the Pack.  A Scout and a Hunter, and I shouldn't have a puppy tail.   I am second in charge after Mum, and above Tara.  But I have a silly little puppy tail at the moment.  It is very sad and it gets me down a bit.    That and the horrible harness. So Mum and Dad decided to take me on holiday to s

Our holiday

Cato: Hello Aunties! Mum has finally got our holibob pics sorted, so I can show you!  Mum says that this time she kept forgetting to take pics, so there aren't many.  Phew!  She can go overboard on pics sometimes, can't she? Anyway, it was a longlonglong way away.  Jasmine didn't come.  She went to stay with Auntie Holly and her sister Dolly, so we didn't have to put up with her trampling and fidgeting in the car crate.  That was good.  Though I don't like it when the pack splits

Our Harnesses

Tara: Hi Aunties We had to go and get me a harness.  It is red and special, and the nice Harness Lady spent ages getting it to fit me so I look extra special and lovely.  I chose RED.  Cato wanted boring brown.  But the Harness Lady didn't have any brown.  Haha!  So he has PURPLE instead.  I like the PURPLE too.  I could wear red one day and purple the next, couldn't I?  Cos the Purple would look much better on me than it does on Cato. We have to have harnesses now on account of C

November holiday - Whitby part 1

Cato: Hello Aunties!  And especially AuntieCrystal @PipsMom, cos we are blogging so that she has something to read when she feels like it.  And for UncleMartin @megabit so that he can read it too. So we went away on holiday.  It was AGES ago, so I don't know if I can really remember all that much.  But Mum says she will show me the pics and then I can try and tell you all about it. We stayed in this place. https://www.sykescottages.co.uk/cottage/North-York-Moors-Coast-Aislaby

Not a happy Pack

Tara: Aunties, I hate it!  It is horribubble!  First I have to wear my harness, and I don't like it much.  OK it is lovely red and I look cute, but ever since that horribubble harness arrived I have to do lots of walks without Cato, and I don't like that.  I just trot along without sniffing and it is all boring.  Dad asked me to go with him for a sausage place breakfast yesterday, but I just looked at him and then put my head down.  Dad was sorry, and then he left without me.   It would all

No walkies

Mum: Hi All, Things have been a bit different the last few days.  Dad has a stinking cold, which I am trying not to catch.  It has been raining on and off.  I have twanged my Achilles tendon a bit - it has been hurting for a week so a bit of rest seems a good idea.  The mutts haven't had a walk in daysanddaysanddays (to quote them). The rest seems to be doing my tendon a power of good, which is great.  Dad isn't getting any better (we are hoping we will see a light at the end of t

New washing machine

Cato: We did important DIY stuff today, with both Mum and Dad. It was VERY exciting. The washy machine has been making very loud washy machine noises for a while.  And Mum finally had The Discussion with Dad about it.  Cos the engineer inside the phone said it was too expensive to be worth mending. So new washy machine is coming tomorrow.  And today we all got ready!  Me and Mum and Tara did a specially careful poo pickup in the garden cos washymachines come in through the ba

New Beginnings

Mum: Such a long time since Cato, Tara and I have blogged. I've been busy, and last year kind of went in a blur. I had a rather unfortunate stomach upset that left me under the weather for months, and then... things drifted. Then I heard about the shootings at the Garlic Festival, and immediately logged on here to see how Marlene was, and suddenly I am missing you all, and your news, terribly! We have some news at this end too. A new pup. Jasmine. This is the photo we wer

My sister

Tara: Hallo Aunties! I just wanted to blog to tell you how posh I am. This is my sister Rita.  She is still winning stuff and being all clever and beautiful.  Although obviously not as clever and beautiful as me, cos she is still going to boring shows and having long hair and piggy tails and stuff.  I don't do that, so that makes me clevererer, doesn't it?  I think it would be very difficult to Bounce properly on Jasmine if I had long hair like her.  But I could win shows if I wan

My MrMcT treatment

Cato: Hello Aunties!  Now that Tara has stopped fussing about her feet, I can tell you about my visit to my new VetDoctor.  Mum says he is called MrMcT which is short for him being a McTimoney somethingorother. He was nice. Tara didn't come in with me!  Yay!  So she wasn't squeaking and getting in the way and wanting fuss, and I had Mr MrMcT all to myself.  He got down on the floor to see me, which I liked, so I didn't have to stand on that horrible high vet table. He did stu

My Important Duties as Patroller and Organiser

Hello Aunties, Just thought I would let you know about my important daily duties that I do daily for the pack and around the house. They are very important.  Did I tell you that?  Cos they are. This is what I do: morning Garden Patrol, including side passage and rear gate.  Poo.  Wee. collecting post, parcels and leaflets.  I don’t actually collect them.  I Alert Mum and then we go and collect the stuff together from the porch. Important Snooze before breakfas

My back hurts :(

Cato: aunties, my back hurts. ? it was a bit hurty before, and my ankles were a bit wobbly, and Mum was thinking that I should go see Mrs Vet (once Tara’s bobble was gone). but then she got better after the op, and she Bounced on me.  A lot.  Mum tried to protect me, but she couldn’t stop all the Bouncing.  Tara does big running up and down and leaping.  And woowoowooo!  And mugging and stuff.  And my back hurts.  Mum says she is veryveryvery sorry.  MrsVet says my back is soresor

My antenner

Tara: Hello Aunties! We had a FAB walk yesterday.  We only went out to do an Autumn Photo Shoot for me, so I can be a Supermodel again, and look fab.  Mum did my hair up in a new style and everything. Cato larffed at me and said that Carrera rocks this look much better than me.  But he is just jealous.  Cato I mean, not Carrera.   Can you see my hair? This is when we were catching up with Mum.  Cato was doing a silly walk at the time, and worrying Mum in case his w

Mum's new splashy pool

Cato: Well you know how I don't like Mum splashing a lot, on account of all that water being dangerous and scary and frightening.  And Mum's body disappearing, and her being just a talking head?  And me preferring her to have a lap, and for me to be on her lap? Well her old splashy pool died a bit back, and she was happy, cos they did something called a refund.  And she saved and saved and saved her pocket money, and she got a new splashy pool.  And it arrived last week. I don't s

Mum's new camera delight

Yesterday the light was awful, so I just played with the software.  Had to download new Firmware, which was a new experience! Anyway, these were taken in the garden during my lunch break 10 mins ago, and now here they are for your delectation. The sky really is that grey, and the light really is that dull.  But the colours seem very true.  I didn't phaff with zooming in or anything, just bent down close to the flowers and snapped away. These are my pretty little cyclamen, valiantl

Mum's Day

Hello Aunties! It is Mother's Day here, so me and Dad and Tara put our Thinking Hats on and decided wot to get for Mum on her day. So we got her some chocolates.  Dad says I have to tell you the were expensive and posh chocolates by somebody called Lindt, so that you know we love Mum very very much.  And Mum likes chocolate.  So that is OK. And then we got me... er... Mum a new cushion.  It has a picture of a very sexy babe on it.  And I chose it specially.  I like Mum'

Mum's camera woes

Mum: Going to show you one of the reasons why the blogging has been missing lately. About a month ago my lovely Nikon Coolpix S33 camera died.  It had been losing battery charge very rapidly, and I had changed the rechargeable battery once, to no improvement.  Then it decided to not switch off, and just blink a light at me until the battery ran down.  It still charged, but then it just ran the battery flat immediately afterwards. So, new camera.  Which arrived and I instantly thou

Mum's boring flowery bits

They aren't interested in this, so I can put as many flowers in as I like. These are my glorious Oriental Poppies, which came into bloom when I was away last weekend.  I have counted over 50 buds. These are my new rose.  Beautifully faded to salmon. All the rest of the pics are from today at Town Park, which should really be renamed Flowery Park, shouldn't it? Bearded Irises.   Roses Blue things Allium

Mum: Oooooh the Drama!!!

Mum: I usually clip the toenails every couple of weeks between groomings.  Or rather, I check them then, and only cut them if I feel the need. Well, there has been 'a need' for a week or so, and I have been avoiding it, because none of us exactly enjoy the experience.  Tara seems to have ticklish back paws.  Cato has had the quick nipped a couple of times by the groomer, and he isn't exactly a stoic little soul.  So now he gets into a tizz whenever I approach with the clippers...

Mum went away!

Cato: it was terrible!  Mum and Dad went out, and only Dad came back!   Dad came and sat on the sofa and we watched snooker stuff.  And we had treats and more dinner than usual.  But she hadn't come home by the time we went up to the Big Bed.  It was very worrying! We went out for breakfast, and i wanted to get home really fast in case she arrived and didn't know where the pack was!  But she still didn't come home! Then all of a sudden we could hear her!  And smell her!  And

Mum had a car crash!

Tara: Mum and Jasmine had a car crash!  It woz all Jasmine's fault!   Mum: Now Tara, you know that isn't true.  You can't blame Jasmine for what happened when she was a passenger sitting peacefully in her crate in the car, can you?   Tara:   Yes I can!  You woz only in the car cos you were picking Jasmine up from her sleepover.  If you had been safe at home with me and Cato then your car wouldn't have been crunchified.  And we could be going on nice trips to in

More pics from the lost camera

Cato: This was in Foxy Park again.  With Tara being a pain again.  See, my tummy is furry, NOT fat!!! Mum says this year they have let the grass and wildflowers grow up properly, so they all grew and flowered and seeded and stuff.  She likes this.  But then she doesn't get seeds in her knickers, does she?  Last year the man cut the wildflowers down, and Mum and AuntieJane got cross about it, cos the buzzy bugs had nowhere to go. This is baby Rowan berries.

MONDAY 9th May: Sunlight

Mum:  Today was mainly about sunlight, not sniffs.  You will see what I mean when we get to the pictures.  It was just the most beautiful day, from the early morning sun in the garden, to the after-work walk in the Dog Field.  Just such a pity I was stuck inside the whole of the rest of the time, staring at computer screens.  lol.   Cato:  So we took Mum on a guided tour of the garden this morning while the kettle was boiling.  Don't you think it odd that she made such a fuss not to ge
