Very sad to have to announce that Sidney died this morning - massive seizure or stroke or something. He was 11ish years old.
Dad left at 5.30 am for work. The mutts and I slept in. Usually Sidney dozes on the bed with me until i get up (see Friday's blog photo). But today there was no sign, so I assumed Dad had opened the window and he was On Patrol.
When i got up i found him lying on the floor, in a very relaxed posture on Dad's side of the bed. Thought he was dead, but eventuall

Foxy Park walk today! Yay! Cold and a bit windy but some sun too. Dad could come with us, but kept talking about being starving so afterwards we had to drive through KFC and pick up some gorgeous sniffy chicken and stuff. Then we came home and watched him eat. I got a tiny bit. Tara got a bigger bit. And Mum got none. Greenery and kwish stuff, she had. Poor us!
The walk was good though. Mum wandered round saying 'there is nothing left to photograph!' so we found her the
Aunties I was talking to mom today about how stressful my days/ life is, I honestly think she can do something to make my days easier don't you???! I mean seriously.... Like today for instance....see...?!
I mean what if the sun comes in too bright while I'm getting my beauty sleep? Or worse, if my belly gets chilled... Or too empty.. What then?!

We went up to bed last night as usual, and Dad put us in our pen. Great walk today!!! Mum took us back to the beach, which Tara didn't want. She was all whiney and clingy. But Mum said we had to get back on the bicycle - wotever that means!
So we picked up Auntie Jane and went for breakfast. Another biscuitless cafe, but Mum saved us a sausage, and cut it into pieces. I think Tara gets bigger pieces than me. Not sure that is fair.

Sidney: I stayed home today. I think my paw is getting worse. Mum says it is my fault, and I am not to go out so much. But that makes no sense. It can't be MY fault. That is an absurd idea. I used my tray this morning, cos I didn't want to go all the way out over the roof and the wall for a widdle.
Cato: Mum didn't have to work today! So we got a lie in, and even better, I had a totally peaceful lie in cos they got Tara up and let her bounce on the bed, leaving me to snooz

So early last Tuesday, we set out for the groomers. To remind you what he looks like before, here it is.
I'm not sure how grooming should be done. Here at our favorite groomers, Monkey got a rough clipping to remove most of the length before he goes for shampoo. I've instructed the groomer not to clean his ears and not to trim his tail.

We had to go early for our walk today, so Dad could come with us before he had to go to work. And we all got in the car and set off. But then we sat for ages in a car queue which was very boring. Dad's shift started a bit later today, so he came out for a walk and some sausage with us, then went straight off to his Work Thing. It was fun.
See how quiet the cafe is? No one to say how cute we are and stop to stroke us. But it meant that the sausages came very quickly, although we had to wait until were were outside before we got ours!

As the blog name suggests, this blog would be about Monkey and maybe a bit of other stuff. I'm not sure I would be able to post regularly as we are a boring family.
Let me start off with a bit of a history!
Monkey was born in August 2013. Here he is at a month old.
He still sleeps that way. LOL. He was the biggest of the bunch. The black & white pup was sickly and didn't survive.
Well today has been a total washout... Mum let us out to go toilet this morning and it had been raining all night. Lacey didn't want to go out, but I went out straight away for a wee. Mummy had to cox Lacey out later to go toilet before Mummy left for work.
While she was gone we could hear the rain, it was very heavy at times.
Mummy came home from work at lunch and let us out to go toilet... But look what greeted us...

Firstly I would like make sure people realise that the alley belongs to me. Not the dogs.
We live on the left of the alley, and the woman who leaves food down for the fox lives over to the right and round the corner. So I have to jump down those walls and scale the other side - all with a War Wound. AND I have to make sure that there aren't any upstarts and tresspassers. It isn't easy you know. Mom: Packed the DH into a chauffeured car to send him off to work for the day - second time in the last 3 weeks. Yes, we can afford that much now and then because he's not spending $80-100 on gas to get back-and-forth to work every week, lol. I feel like the world has been lifted off my shoulders...just for today.
