Cato:
No pics today, cos Mum woz being prof- froff- proffessal. She had to do a meet thing with her bosslady, but becos Mum works from home, Bosslady said 'let's go to the stinky coffeeplace.' and Mum said 'Can Cato and Tara come and be veryveryvery good sitting under the table no-bother-at-all becos then we can walk there and back.'
So we did.
It was very, very boring. They just jabbered and jabbered and jabbered about numbers. And Tara was only a bit of a pest for attention.
Mum:
I know that lots of your do a proper groom. Table, set positions, lying on the side, different combs and brushes and stuff.
But that isn't how we roll.
We have a grooming table, which I love, but I only use it to do Tara's hair, and for face, foot, knicker and tail trims. The rest of the time grooming is a comfortable snugglefest on the sofa in the front room, while watching tv. One brush (pinbrush) and Wen revitalising leave in hair conditioner.
This is usually fanta
Tara:
Ooooh Aunties, it was FAB today. Not so hot, so we set off for Bear Woods. Not that we have found the bear yet! Anyway, as we left the house, it started to rain. Dad nearly turned back, but me and Mum said we wanted to get wet and splooshy, and stuff. So we did.
Best walk in AGES!!! It was sooooo lovely and cool and sniffy. Even Cato didn't wimp out, so it woz fun til the end!!!
Look at me! I am in front!
Me and Dad. He loves me. And I love him. But he
Tara:
Hot hot hot! Mum says it was nearly to hot to walk. First we went for breakfast with Auntie Jane, and sausage, of course. And then we went to Foxy Park, like usual.
But Mum said this time we were only going to go round once! So I had to do extra special bouncing to make sure I got enough!
We saw Daisy again!
And some dachshunds.
They were very steady and polite and boring. But I liked Daisy. She was more interested in Cato to start with, but I b
Mum:
Pics are now working for me. let me know if they aren't working for you. Mind you, haven't a clue how to sort it if there is still a problem!
Cato:
Exciting! we found a new part of the world! And a new beach! It was marvellously sniffy!
We started off with a nice sausage breakfast, with Dad.And then walked along the seafront bit, where we aren't allowed down on the beach. We walked past the nice biscuit place, where we get biscuits and Mum and Dad have borin
Cato:
Big Lake walk! Oooh Aunties, it was LOVELY! We hadn't been out since ages and ages, and Tara was so full of bounce it was unbearable! Mum checked her magic weather predictor thing, and it was going to be cool! So we set off. Round the lake. One lady laughed at Tara's mohawk, and said how sweet it is. Yuck. Who wants to be sweet?
The big hissy swans are all huge and floating about in groups. Mum says they still have all six babies, but they aren't babies any more, are the
Tara:
We went to see AuntieJane and had breakfast. But it wozn't sausage, cos Mum fancied scrambledy eggses and a kipper. So we had to have egg too. Cato didn't think he liked it, so I went to eat his share too, and he suddenly decided it woz delicious. Not fair!!!
Look at Me!!! This is my new Mohawky hairstyle. Mum got all crabby when she woz doing my hair, but she got there in the end. I was very good, and she gave me treats. I am always good. But it woz too neat and tidy, s
Mum has tied me to her desk!
I am a prisoner!
She is MEAN!!!
I woz garding the garden from monsters and cats and attack butterflies. And I woz bored!!! So I barked. And barked. And barked.
And barked!
Cos monsters and cats and attack butterflies all need barking at, don't they?
Then Mum comes out with the old lead, and ropes me up. I've only got 6 feet of rope, 2 beds, a bowl of water and a pigs ear. IT IS TERRIBLE!!!
And I can't see wot is going on in
Cato: Mum didn't have to do her work thing today, so we had a bit of a lie in, then we got ready (Tara's hair takes AGGGEEEESSSSSS) and went out before breakfast! Dad was out, so we could go to the big beach. Last time we went there he fell over in the slippy sand, and he says he doesn't like it any more. I don't understand, cos his wrist has stopped hurting now.
Anyway, it was fun. Really early, and sunny. The bit I didn't like was going down that ramp slope thing to the beach. Mum
Cato:
Tara is snoring, so I get to tell you about our walk in Foxy. It wasn't a long walk, on account of being so hot. And Tara was all bouncy, and rough, so we got worn out really quickly. But Mum took some nice pics. So here goes.
This was an epic battle. I scooted Tara up the bum to start with. I knew what I was doing. But she over-reacted a bit, I think.
See what I mean?
But then she let me up, so I scooted her again! He he!
and then we had a r
Tara:
Hahaha! Mum's been a lazy slug for DAYS and hasn't been taking dictation. So we have lots and lots of catching up to do. I'm first. Then Cato can do the next one, while I have a snooze.
So, we went back to the Wild Woods hunting that bear statue. Well, I woz hunting. Mum woz piccing. Dad was striding. And Cato woz wimping.
Look wot I found!!! lots of balancing ballet tutu beams!
See how graceful and athletical I am? Hope our holiday comes soon, cos I
Cato: We were at the Big Lake again today, and did the tunnel. Mud said it might be the least muddy EVER after all the sun, and she woz right!
It looks like mud, but really it is just hard dry earthy stuff now. A bit disappointing, really. Dad didn't wobble and slide at all!
We had a good fight half way along the tunnel. Tara picked the same spot for a rumble last time, too.
Can you see Dad? he woz slinking off into the shadows, showing Tara some ninja techniq
Cato:
Hot hot hot. But the sausage breakfast woz nice. And seeing Auntie Jane woz nice too.
Foxy park woz very still and hot and sunny, and even Tara didn't bounce ALL that much.
although she did a bit. mainly in the shade!
This is my EntMoot snoozing in the sun.
and these are the knickerprickle grasses wot Mum uses treats to keep us out of.
Tara:
This is me squishing Cato. He was a bit floppy by this time. He
Too hot to walk again, I am afraid.
So I went outside, while the mutts were snoozing, and took these. As you can see, the snails got to the hosta in the end, and the ferns have done beautifully and are self seeding in the concrete cracks :). And there are no more monsters down the side passage.
I intended to scrape out all the moss, but the more I look at it, the more I like it. It makes the passage greener and less harshly concrete, doesn't it? More natural. I
Cato: So Mum was a naughty Mum last week. She went to this work thing. Training. But without the training treats, apparently. And they lent her a set of headphones, and she (Bad Mum) forgot to return them at the end of the day. So she had to take them back, and we went with her!
It was fun! We got to go in the car, and walk into the office place, and go through the security card thing, and climb stairs, and surprise everyone. Tara got really over excited and tried to beat me up in f
Cato: We went to the woods today. It was soooooo lovely and cool and green and sniffy.
and these soldier people stayed here ages and ages ago.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-humber-15491945
Mum doesn't let us go to these woods very often, cos before I was born there were some dog attacks (Mum: staffordshire bullterriers, I think) and some little dogs like me got splatted. It was very sad. But that hasn't happened for ages, and it is the skool holidays and lot
Cato:
Mum had lots of work stuff today, and Dad woz off work, so we took him to the big park. It was fab and sniffy, and we showed him the donkeys and everything.
The donkeys were a long way away today. We couldn't eat their poo unfortunately.
Tara kept trying to show off for the camera, but he didn't take many photos.
And he wandered off a bit, too. We had to keep an eye on him.
Tara:
I had to keep telling Dad to catc
Tara:
Hello Aunties! We had a fab walk today at Foxy. It was cooler, and wimpy Cato actually fought back! It was ACE!!! Though he did get all puffed and floppy by the end. And then we slept ALL afternoon. Well, I slept. Cato SNORED.
There were people everywhere!
My stick!
This is him trying to steal it!
We had LOTS of fights. It was great.
This is me trying to get Cato to play when he had wimped out.
This is me after
Cato: Sausage breakfast, then a really boring walk along the seafront. We have to wait til the end of September before we get the beach back so we walked by the stinky flowers, wot Mum had to photo for you. Yawn, and then back along the path bit.
It woz a bit hot, and I got thirsty. Sausage makes you thirsty anyway, doesn't it? And Tara climbed on everything, of course.
Mum: Today was a completely different routine. There was a charity fun run (10k) so lots of roads we
Cato:
So Mum remembered the Tunnel, wot AuntieCrystal wanted to see. And we wanted to see it too. So Mum and Dad came with us to the big park with the lake, and we went and found the Tunnel entrance. It was quite difficult, cos it was so overgrown, but I found it - see?
Follow me!
It was very cool and sniffy and damp. Dad said there would be mud.
and there woz!!!
this bit was fun. We had a fight.
it woz a very looooon
Tara:
I hate it. It is scary. I hate it.
Mum lets me out through the door sometimes (Mum: first thing in morning, and last thing at night) and then she makes me use IT the rest of the time.
Yesterday was HORRIBLE. She made me sit outside the catflap looking in all morning (Mum: 20 mins) and tortured me with treats (Mum: a calcium bone treat on the floor 2 feet inside the catflap), and it was raining! (Mum: the catflap is positioned under the roof overhang, and did not get wet).
Cato:
Mum left us with AuntieKim today. It was a GREAT walk, but I wish Mum could have come too.
These are the pics from AuntieKim's Facebook thing. We got all wet and muddy cos it was raining. It was lovely and cool.
This is us waiting for Mum
Then we had a bath and our breakfast, and then we snuggled with AuntieKim, and then we came home with Mum and SLEPT.
We slept all night and slept lots of today too.
AnuntieKims walks
Cato:
IT woz nice and cool all the morning, so we went out for a walk, and then it got HOT, so we didn't mind all the pics, cos it meant we could have a sit down!
Tara still managed to bounce though.
This is me busy on busyness
The park was EVER SO FULL of people.
I like meeting people, but there are some dangerous drivers! Mainly little boys on little bikes. Girls too. They look and look and look and don't stop pedalling, and it is like they can only stee
Cato:
Auntie Jane couldn't come. Something about cricket and the weather, and stuff. Weird. But it meant that we could take Dad and show him Town Park. Tara really just wanted to show him where she fell in, and maybe fall in again...
Anyway, here are some interesting sniffy holes. I widdled on the tree. Well, you have to, don't you?
It was LOVELY to be able to run and sniff again, even if Tara came too! We got there really early, and left before 8.30am. Best Sunday EV
Mum: So, we got up early and went for a walk before breakfast today. IT STILL got too hot, but at least by that time they were worn out and going slowly.
The flowers were AMAZING, and I ended up snapping so many that I need an extra blog entry so that the Mutts don't resent the floral take over:
The park rose garden from a distance, doesn't look much in this shot:
But the closeups tell a different story
Bored and waiting for me to finish taking th
